Recording head maintenance device and ink-jet recording apparatus provided with the same
A maintenance device includes a wiper, a wiper carriage, a supporting frame, a wiper moving mechanism, and a unit ascending/descending mechanism. The wiper moving mechanism includes a rack supported to the wiper carriage so as to be movable in an up-down direction, a wiper driving motor provided in the supporting frame, a rack driving gear that transmits a driving force of the wiper driving motor to the rack, a sliding member that is rotatably supported to the wiper carriage and comes into contact with the supporting frame, and a gear pitch retention member that maintains constant a positional relationship in the up-down direction between the rack and the rack driving gear during reciprocation of the wiper carriage.
Ink Printer and Method for Printing to a Recording Medium in the Form of a Web
For printing to a recording medium in the form of a web that is moved in a horizontal direction to the printing position by a web carriage. There, the recording medium is raised up to the print heads. To clean the print heads, a maintenance carriage is used that is moved horizontally into a maintenance position below the print bars. There, a cleaning unit with covering caps is then driven upward to the print heads in order to either place a covering cap onto the print heads or clean the print heads. The web carriage and the maintenance unit are moved only in a horizontal direction while the printing unit remains stationary.
Wash fluid for use in inkjet recording apparatus and image formation method
A wash fluid for use in an inkjet recording apparatus contains water, a coconut oil fatty acid surfactant, an organic deliquescent agent, a polyhydric alcohol, and a basic inorganic compound. The polyhydric alcohol is an alkanediol. The coconut oil fatty acid surfactant is contained in an amount of at least 0.01% by mass and no greater than 3.00% by mass. The organic deliquescent agent is contained in an amount of at least 0.10% by mass and no greater than 30.00% by mass.
HEAD UNIT AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A head unit includes a recording head and a unit frame. The unit frame includes a main frame extending along a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of a recording medium, and is configured to hold one or more recording heads on both side surfaces of the main frame. The main frame includes: a main body portion having a flat-plate shape and standing along the width direction; and bent portions formed by perpendicularly bending both end portions of the main body portion in the width direction. The unit frame includes a pair of reinforcing members provided at the bent portions. The reinforcing members each include a side wall portion opposed to the main body portion and a bottom surface portion provided so as to extend in a horizontal direction from a lower end portion of the side wall portion.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: a plurality of medium containing units that is provided along a vertical direction and contains a medium before recording; a liquid ejecting head that performs recording by ejecting liquid toward the medium; and at least one liquid containing unit that contains the liquid; wherein the plurality of medium containing units includes a first medium containing unit located at an uppermost position, and a second medium containing unit located below the first medium containing unit, a size of the first medium containing unit in a medium feeding-out direction, in which the medium is fed out, is smaller than a size of the second medium containing unit in the medium feeding-out direction, and the at least one liquid containing unit is provided above the second medium containing unit in such a way as to overlap with the first medium containing unit in the vertical direction.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a head unit including a recording head and configured to move between a recording position where recording is performed on a medium and a retraction position away from a medium transportation path; a movement mechanism that moves the head unit; and a positioning portion configured to position the head unit at the recording position. A moment for rotating the head unit is produced by a force applied by the movement mechanism to the head unit and by a reaction force received by the head unit from the positioning portion. A unit pusher configured to apply, to the head unit, a force acting in a direction of canceling rotation of the head unit when the head unit is located at the recording position pushes the head unit in a direction intersecting with a moving direction of the head unit.
Inkjet recording apparatus
The controller of an inkjet recording apparatus supplies a recording medium onto the conveyor belt with a pair of registration rollers based on a detection result of the trailing edge of the recording medium by a first detection sensor and a detection result of an opening by a second detection sensor. The controller determines whether the recording medium is being placed on the conveyor belt coinciding with the opening that is moved due to the traveling of the conveyor belt, and based on the determination result, the controller controls the recording head to execute flushing and the pair of registration rollers to supply a subsequent recording medium onto the conveyor belt.
Ink-jet print heads protecting system in a digital printing machine
The present invention relates to an ink-jet print heads protecting system in a digital printing machine, wherein the module comprises a chassis (1), rollers (2), and a plurality of digital printing units (10), each with a bridge (11) with guides (12) and a sliding carriage (13) with ink-jet print heads (14), one part of each guide overlapping the band and another part projecting beyond the band path, the carriage being movable between the printing and maintenance positions; and in that each bridge is attached to the chassis by of a position adjustment device (20) and an articulation (25) that are spaced apart or by two position adjustment devices (20) that are spaced apart.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a nozzle surface, a supply port, a conveyance unit, a first moving device, a cap, a second moving device and a controller. The supply port supplies a cleaning liquid for cleaning the nozzle surface. The cap has a recessed part whose upper surface is opened and a discharge port through which the liquid dropped in the recessed part is discharged. The controller controls the first moving device to arrange the nozzle surface and the conveyance unit in a retreat position, then controls the second moving device to arrange the cap, the nozzle surface and the supply port in a covering position, then controls such that the cleaning liquid is discharged from the supply port to the cap, and then controls such that the ink is purged from the nozzle surface to the cap.
FLUSHING TIMING ADJUSTMENT METHOD AND INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
A first chart is recorded on a recording medium by discharging ink from predetermined nozzles of a recording head at a plurality of discharge timings set in advance with the detection time point of the recording medium by a recording medium detection sensor as a reference time point, and a second chart is recorded alongside the first chart on the recording medium by discharging the ink from other nozzles of the recording head at a plurality of discharge timings set in advance with the detection time point of the recording medium by the opening detection sensor as a reference time point. A flushing timing, which is set with the detection time point of the opening by the opening detection sensor as the reference time point, is adjusted in accordance with an input of an instruction following the recording of the first chart and the second chart on the recording medium.
