BOARD, LIQUID ACCOMMODATION CONTAINER, AND PRINTING SYSTEM
In a board that includes a plurality of contact portions that are arranged to contact corresponding apparatus-side terminals when the board is mounted in a printing apparatus, some contact portions are disposed in a first region, and the remaining contact portions are disposed in a second region. The some contact portions include a first contact portion, a second contact portion, a third contact portion, and a fourth contact portion. The remaining contact portions include a fifth contact portion. The some contact portions are arranged in a first pattern in the first region and the remaining contact portions are arranged in a second pattern in the second region, and the first pattern is asymmetrical to the second pattern with respect to a first virtual line.
Liquid cartridge
A liquid cartridge includes a first surface, a second surface spaced apart from the first surface, and a third surface extending between the first surface and the second surface, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the third surface. A locking mechanism includes a locking surface that extends above the third surface, and a liquid detection mechanism includes a light access portion. The light access portion is disposed between the circuit board and the locking surface, and the circuit board is disposed between the first surface and the light access portion.
REPLACEABLE ITEM AUTHENTICATION
A replaceable item for a host device includes a non-volatile memory and logic. The non-volatile memory stores passwords or authentication values, and/or a cryptographic key. The logic permits retrieval of a predetermined maximum number of the passwords from the non-volatile memory to authenticate the replaceable item within the host device. The predetermined maximum number of the passwords is less than the total number of the passwords.
Inkjet recording apparatus
An inkjet recording apparatus configured to perform recording operation by ejecting ink at least from a first recording head, includes an ink tank configured to contain the ink to be supplied to the first recording head, a tube configured to connect the first recording head and the ink tank, and a carriage including a first mounting portion on which the first recording head is mounted, a second mounting portion on which a second recording head is detachably mounted, and a contact portion electrically connected to the second recording head, and configured to reciprocate. A protection member protecting the contact portion can be detachably mounted on the second mounting portion.
Method for controlling light emission of ink cartridge and control unit, circuit board, ink cartridge, and imaging device
The present invention provides a method for controlling light emission of an ink cartridge, a control unit, a circuit board, an ink cartridge and an imaging device, to decrease misjudgment rate of the imaging device. The control method includes: receiving and identifying a light emitting control instruction from the imaging device main body; starting a light-on delay timing when identifying the light emitting control instruction is a light-on instruction; controlling the light emitting unit of the ink cartridge to stop emitting light when identifying the light emitting control instruction is a light-off instruction; controlling the light emitting unit to emit light when detecting a timing value of the light-on delay timing reaches a delay threshold value. The present invention avoids misjudgment problem of unable to pass position detection due to light amount inconsistent caused by manufacturing errors of the light emitting unit, when setting a light-on delay timing.
LIQUID PROPELLING COMPONENT
A liquid propelling component includes a liquid channel, a circuit block. The circuit block includes a first conductor disposed in the liquid channel to be in contact with liquid in the channel and a second conductor insulated from liquid in the channel. The liquid propelling component further includes a memory storing a digital code that corresponds to an analogue value of the second conductor under a predefined charge.
Liquid cartridge
A liquid cartridge includes a first surface and a second surface facing a particular direction, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the second surface, and a liquid detection mechanism including a light access portion extends above the second surface further than the circuit board in the particular direction.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE PROVIDED WITH DEFORMABLE MEMBER, MOVABLE MEMBER, AND URGING MEMBER FOR DETECTION OF REMAINING AMOUNT OF LIQUID
A liquid cartridge includes: a casing including a liquid chamber; a liquid supply portion; a deformable member; a movable member; and an urging member. An internal pressure of the chamber is reduced as liquid flows out of the chamber. The deformable member protrudes from the casing in a cross direction crossing forward and rearward directions and has an internal space in communication with the chamber. The deformable member has such an elasticity that a dimension thereof in the cross direction becomes smaller as the internal pressure of the chamber is reduced. The movable member includes a detection portion, and a contact portion contacting the deformable member. The contact portion is in contact with the deformable member and disposed at one of positions further forward and further rearward relative to the deformable member. The urging member urges the movable member to move the contact portion toward the deformable member.
SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR, PRINTING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
A system comprises: an obtaining unit that obtains predetermined information relating to amount of printing materials for a tank attached to a printing apparatus; and a determining unit that determines an interchangeable tank to be provided from a plurality of types of interchangeable tanks based on the predetermined information, wherein the plurality of types of interchangeable tanks include a first tank and a second tank, the first tank contains printing materials of at least two colors, with a ratio of amounts of the printing materials of the at least two colors being a first constituent ratio, and the second tank contains printing materials of at least the same two colors as those in the first tank, with a ratio of amounts of the printing materials of at least the two colors being a second constituent ratio different from the first constituent ratio.
Cap for Ink Tank, Ink Tank, and Ink-Jet Recording Apparatus
There is provided an ink tank cap configured to open and close an ink inlet port of an ink tank, the ink tank cap including a contacting portion contacting with the ink inlet port, wherein the contacting portion of the ink tank cap is formed of an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber containing silicone.
