Liquid cartridge

A liquid cartridge includes a liquid chamber, a partitioning wall partitioning the liquid chamber into a first liquid chamber and a second liquid chamber, a communication opening through which liquid can flow from the first liquid chamber to the second liquid chamber, and a movable member which is movable between a block position and a communication position. When the movable member is in the block position, the movable member is configured to prevent the liquid from flowing from the first liquid chamber to the second liquid chamber through the communication opening, and when the movable member is in the communication position, the liquid is allowed to flow from the first liquid chamber to the second liquid chamber through the communication opening.

Print Liquid Supply

In one embodiment a print liquid supply apparatus is provided to supply liquid to a liquid needle of a receiving station comprising a liquid container including an at least partially collapsible liquid reservoir an interface structure at a side of the container, including a liquid channel that includes a reservoir connecting portion that fluidically connects to the reservoir and a needle receiving portion to allow the liquid to flow from the reservoir to the needle; a liquid interface of the liquid channel adjacent the needle receiving portion and at a distance from the reservoir connecting portion, a front wall and/or edge adjacent the liquid interface including a push area which is disposed between the liquid interface and the container; and at least one key pen base and key pen protruding from the base in a direction parallel and opposite to the needle insertion direction; and a contact pad array next to the needle receiving liquid channel portion. In another example a sub-assembly of such apparatus is provided.

PRINTING-FLUID CARTRIDGE HAVING INTERFERING SURFACE, AND SET OF THE PRINTING-FLUID CARTRIDGES

A printing-fluid cartridge is inserted into a prescribed insertion space of a cartridge-attachment section in an insertion direction crossing a gravitational direction to be attached thereto in an attached posture. The printing-fluid cartridge includes: a housing including a storage chamber, a supply portion having a supply hole, an electrical interface disposed at an upper surface of the housing, and an interfering surface. The interfering surface is positioned upward of the storage chamber and extends in a widthwise direction of the housing. The interfering surface is positioned downward and frontward relative to the electrical interface and is configured to abut against a projection provided at another insertion space different from the prescribed insertion space of the cartridge-attachment section during an insertion of the printing-fluid cartridge into the another insertion space.

In an example implementation, a print supply cartridge comprises a microcontroller to receive a timing challenge and enable authentication of the cartridge by providing a challenge response. The challenge response is provided in a challenge response time that falls within an expected time window.

Print liquid supply interconnect in hose-fed housing

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, at least one print liquid supply interconnected is described. Each print liquid supply interconnect includes a housing movable relative to a printer and tethered via a feed hose to the printer. The housing includes at least one needle to be inserted in a print liquid supply to allow print liquid to move between the print liquid supply and an ejection device and two keyed slots disposed on either side of a first needle to gate insertion to a print liquid supply with protrusions that match the two keyed slots. The housing also includes a guide feature adjacent the first needle extending between a first keyed slot and the first needle and an electrical interface to establish a data transmission path between the print liquid supply and the ejection device, the electrical interface disposed between the first needle and a second keyed slot.

Carriers including fluid ejection dies

Examples include a fluid ejection device comprising a carrier, at least one fluid ejection die, and conductive traces at least partially embedded in the carrier. The carrier has a first portion and a second portion, where an angle of orientation between the first portion and the second portion is nonparallel. The first portion includes an array of openings formed through a top surface of the carrier. The second portion includes at least one die opening through a bottom surface of the carrier. The fluid ejection die is coupled to the second portion of the carrier. Fluid passages formed in a back surface of the fluid ejection die are exposed through the at least one die opening formed through the bottom surface of the carrier. The conductive traces have an array of contact points at first ends of the conductive traces. The array of contact points align with the array of openings of the first portion of the carrier such that the array of contact points are exposed through the array of openings. The conductive traces connect the fluid ejection die and the array of contact points.

A transform wrapper is stored on a memory device and the memory device may be included in a printer cartridge. The transform wrapper may dynamically build a transform map for a printer based on metadata stored at the memory device. The metadata may indicate at least one of a type of depositing material, transform map, print media and printer.

LIQUID CARTRIDGE

A liquid cartridge includes a first surface, a second surface spaced apart from the first surface, and a third surface extending between the first surface and the second surface, with a liquid outlet through the first surface. A circuit board is mounted on the third surface. A locking mechanism includes a locking surface that extends above the third surface, and a liquid detection mechanism includes a light access portion. The light access portion is disposed between the circuit board and the locking surface, and the circuit board is disposed between the first surface and the light access portion.
