Printer
A printer comprising a printhead configured to selectively cause a mark to be created on a substrate. The printer comprises a stepper motor having an output shaft coupled to the printhead, the stepper motor being arranged to vary the position of the printhead relative to a printing surface against which printing is carried out, and to control the pressure exerted by the printhead on the printing surface. The printer further comprises a sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of an angular position of the output shaft of the stepper motor. The printer further comprises a controller arranged to generate control signals for the stepper motor so as to cause a predetermined torque to be generated by the stepper motor; said control signals being at least partially based upon an output of said sensor.
Liquid discharge device
Aspects of a disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device enables previously disabled liquid discharge through a head after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid chamber of a tank reaches a predetermined level or higher. Another aspects of the disclosure relates to a liquid discharge device that deactivates an alarm after a cartridge including a first liquid chamber is replaced and before the liquid level in a second liquid reaches a predetermined level or higher.
LIQUID STORAGE CONTAINER
Disclosed is a liquid storage container comprising a liquid reservoir part holding liquid, an air communication part including an air communication port communicating with the atmosphere, an inner port communicating the liquid reservoir part with the air communication part, a seal member closing the inner port from the inside of the air communication part, a first biasing member biasing the seal member in a first direction from a first position away from the inner port toward a second position of closing the inner port, and a pressure receiving part including a protruding portion protruding from the air communication port to the outside of the air communication part, and joined to the seal member or the first biasing member. The seal member is separated from the inner port when the protruding portion of the pressure receiving part is pushed in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
Liquid ejecting apparatus and maintenance method for liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head having a nozzle surface and configured to eject liquid from a nozzle formed at the nozzle surface, a wiper configured to perform wiping with respect to the nozzle surface, a condition detection unit configured to detect the inner condition of a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle, and a control unit configured to change wiping conditions for wiping the nozzle surface by using the wiper in accordance with the detected inner condition of the pressure chamber.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a tank configured to contain ink; a print head configured to eject ink supplied from the tank; a supply flow path through which liquid is supplied from the tank to the print head; a collection flow path through which liquid is collected from the print head to the tank; a circulation unit configured to circulate ink inside a circulation flow path including the tank, the supply flow path, the print head, and the collection flow path; and a cooling unit configured to cool the tank by blowing.
Maintenance Method Of Liquid Discharging Apparatus
A maintenance method for a liquid discharging apparatus including a liquid discharging head. The liquid discharging apparatus executes a printing process including a discharging process in which the liquid discharged from the liquid discharging head lands on the medium, and a maintenance process in which the liquid is discarded from the liquid discharging head. The maintenance method includes: counting a unit period number, which is the number of ended unit periods among a plurality of unit periods obtained by dividing a period required for the printing process in accordance with a first condition; executing the maintenance process when the unit period number reaches a defined number; acquiring viscosity information related to viscosity of the liquid inside the liquid discharging head; and decreasing the unit period number when the viscosity information satisfies a second condition.
SUBSTRATE TREATING LIQUID SUPPLY UNIT AND SUBSTRATE TREATING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
Provided are a substrate treating liquid supply unit for constantly maintaining a liquid level of a nozzle of an inkjet head unit through real-time water level measurement, and a substrate treating apparatus including the same. The substrate treating liquid supply unit includes: a first reservoir connected to an inkjet head unit for jetting a substrate treating liquid onto a substrate and providing the substrate treating liquid to the inkjet head unit; a water level sensor measuring a water level of the substrate treating liquid stored in the first reservoir; and a pressure control module compensating for a pressure provided to the first reservoir based on an amount variation in the water level of the substrate treating liquid, wherein a liquid level of a nozzle of the inkjet head unit is constantly maintained.
Sealing member, method of manufacturing the same, pressure adjustment mechanism, liquid ejection head, and liquid ejection apparatus
Provided is a sealing member to be used as a valve in a pressure adjustment mechanism. The sealing member includes a base member having high strength, and has high reliability. The sealing member includes an elastic member (valve portion) having an annular abutment portion (valve distal end portion) formed as an annular protrusion and the base member (lever portion). When a held portion having a tubular shape extending from the annular abutment portion is held in an annular groove formed in the base member, the elastic member is fixed to the base member. A holding length over which an annular groove holds the held portion along a depth direction of the base member is set longer than a width of the annular groove.
Low cost damper
A damper for a continuous ink jet printer, comprising a fluid receiving chamber (6), comprising at least a lateral wall (22), a fluid inlet (11), and a fluid outlet (12), and at least one membrane (14), the membrane being in a material having a Young modulus between 0.5 MPa and 1000 MPa, the membrane being deformed under the influence of a pressure variation in the first portion.
Liquid cartridge and liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid cartridge includes: a valve unit configured to be movable to a position to close the atmosphere communication hole and a position to open the atmosphere communication hole; and a lever configured to fix the valve unit to the position to close the atmosphere communication hole by pressing the valve unit and configured to be capable of moving the valve unit to the position to open the atmosphere communication hole by removing the pressing against the valve unit, wherein the lever is configured to remove the pressing against the valve unit by moving in a direction intersecting a direction in which the valve unit moves.
