Vehicle seat
An increase in the lateral dimension of a vehicle seat equipped with a tip up lock cancel mechanism is prevented. In a vehicle seat equipped with a tip up mechanism for retaining the seat cushion at least in a tip up position and a tip up lock cancel mechanism for releasing the seat cushion from a retained condition effected by the tip up mechanism in response to a forward tilting movement of the seat back, the tip up lock cancel mechanism includes a cable encasing member having one end fixed to the seat cushion and another end fixed to a back side frame via a fixing part, and a cable slidably received in the cable encasing member and having one end connected to the tip up mechanism and another end connected to a seat base, the fixing part for fixing the cable encasing member to the back side frame being located on an inner side of the back side frame.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat including: a tilt down mechanism configured to sink down a seat cushion in conjunction with forward tilting down movement of a seat back, wherein the tilt down mechanism couples a rear part of the seat cushion to a base on a floor by a rotary shaft, couples a front part of the seat cushion to the base via a front link, and further includes a power transmission member that couples the front link and the seat back, and wherein the tilt down mechanism is configured so that the power transmission member tilts the front link downward in conjunction with the forward tilting down movement of the seat back, thereby sinking down the front part of the seat cushion about the rotary shaft.
RECLINING REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
A vehicle seat assembly for a vehicle includes a bulkhead mountable to a vehicle body structure at a first location. The seat assembly also includes a seat bottom having a seat pan mountable to the vehicle body structure at a second location that is different than the first location. A seat back of the seat assembly includes a frame. A lower end of the frame is pivotably attached to the bulkhead at a pivot point so that the seat back is pivotable relative to the bulkhead and is supported above the seat bottom by the bulkhead when the vehicle seat assembly is mounted to the vehicle body. A recline mechanism has a driving arrangement mounted to one of the bulkhead and the frame and a driven arrangement mounted to the other of the bulkhead and the frame. The recline mechanism is operable to pivot the seat back relative to the bulkhead.
Vehicle seat with sealed inflation system
A vehicle seat includes a sealed inflation system having first and second inflation bladders interconnected by first and second supply lines for exchanging an inflation medium therebetween. Each inflation bladder includes one or more outwardly extending pilot stems. A first valve assembly is operably coupled to the pilot stems and first the supply line. Compression of the second inflation bladder opens the first valve assembly, and compression of the first inflation bladder closes the first valve assembly. A second valve assembly is disposed on the second supply and is configured to open and close as a seatback of the vehicle seat moves from a folded position to an upright position. The first and second valve assemblies are external components to the sealed inflation system.
Self-adjusting rear seat cushion for comfort and storage
A vehicle seating assembly having a seat including a support frame. A seatback is pivotally coupled with the seat and is adjustable between a passenger support position configured to support the weight of a passenger and a cargo position. The seatback is folded forward to a substantially horizontal position. A seat cushion includes a dynamic forward portion and a generally static rearward portion. An articulation feature is disposed below the forward portion of the seat cushion. The articulation feature is operable between a deployed and a non-deployed position. Movement to the deployed position results in the dynamic forward portion of the seat cushion being adjusted to a raised position. Movement to the non-deployed position results in the dynamic forward portion of the seat cushion being adjusted to a lowered position that allows the seatback to fold forward to the cargo position.
Seating solutions for a stationary vehicle
A seating assembly for a vehicle includes a backrest extending between a first surface and a second surface. The second surface opposes the first surface. A first seat base operably couples with the backrest to form a first seat of the seating assembly. The backrest is pivotable between a first use position and a second use position. A second seat base is operably coupled via a connection interface with the backrest. The second seat base and the backrest form a second seat of the seating assembly in the second use position. The second seat faces away from the first seat in the second use position. A cross-sectional plane intersecting each of the first surface and the second surface defines a cross-sectional area of the backrest that remains constant between the first use position and the second use position of the backrest.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat having a seat cushion and ottoman pillars attached to the seat cushion, the seat cushion can be formed in a compact manner. The vehicle seat (S) comprises a cushion frame (F1) including a pair of cushion side frames (85), a cushion front member (86) connecting front ends of the cushion side frames with each other and a cushion rear member (87). The cushion front member is provided with a pair of recesses (143) extending in a fore and aft direction, and a pair of pillar support portions (141) extending in the fore and aft direction are received in and bonded to the respective recesses, the ottoman including a pair of ottoman pillars (135) inserted into the respective pillar support portions.
VEHICLE SEAT CUSHION TRIM AND SEAT BELT BUCKLE ARRANGEMENT WITH ELASTIC RETURN
A seat cushion trim assembly cooperates with a seat belt buckle having a flexible web, a seat connection portion for fixing a lower portion of the flexible web to seat location and a buckle fixed to an upper end of the flexible web. The seat cushion trim assembly includes a seat cushion trim and an elastic cord with a loop portion configured to extend around the seat belt buckle intermediate portion, an extensible portion extending from the loop portion to a trim fixation end, and a fastening arrangement fixing the trim fixation end to the seat cushion trim. The extensible portion bridges a distance from the flexible web to the trim and supports the buckle to prevent the buckle from moving out of an operative position, upon pivoting movement of a seat back to a forward position and to restore a buckle position upon a return pivoting movement.
SEAT ARRANGEMENT FOR A VEHICLE
A seat arrangement for a vehicle includes first and second mounting brackets configured for attachment to a vehicle body. A seat back frame is attached to the first mounting bracket and is pivotable relative to the first mounting bracket around a first pivot axis. A seat cushion frame is pivotably attached to the second mounting bracket, and attached to the seat back frame such that the seat cushion frame and the seat back frame are pivotable relative to each other around a second pivot axis positioned above the first pivot axis when the seat back frame is in a use position.
TIP-UP/DIVE-DOWN TYPE RECLINING SEAT FOR VEHICLE
A vehicle seat is disclosed. The vehicle seat includes reclining lock mechanisms for releasably locking a seat back, a first releasing mechanism for unlocking the reclining lock mechanisms and causing the seat back to be brought to a condition where the seat back is allowed to be pivoted forward and rearward, the first releasing mechanism including a collapsible link bar member 70, a braking link 71 having a laterally projecting induction pin 72, a first link plate 73, and a first operating lever 7, a tipping-up lock mechanism for releasably locking a seat cushion, the tipping-up lock mechanism including cutout teeth 52a to 52c provided at the seat cushion, and a latch 80 and a cam member 81 which are supported to the seat back, and a second releasing mechanism for unlocking the tipping-up lock mechanism and causing the seat cushion to be brought to a condition where the seat cushion is allowed to be pivoted, the second releasing mechanism including a recess portion 80d formed in the latch 80 for allowing the cam member 81 to be swung up, a second link plate 82, and a second operating lever 8.
