Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat includes a seat back frame with an upper subframe pivot. A seat back subframe is pivotably connected to the seat back frame at the upper subframe pivot. An actuation assembly pivotably moves the seat back subframe relative to the seat back frame about the upper subframe pivot, between a seat back subframe design position and a subframe recline position. In the recline position a lower edge of the seat back subframe is positioned outwardly relative to the seat back frame with the seat back subframe pivoted to an angle relative to the seat back frame.

An autonomous can include one or more configurable passenger seats to accommodate a plurality of different seating configurations. For instance, the one or more passenger seats can include a passenger seat defining a seating orientation. The passenger seat can be configurable in a first configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a forward end of the autonomous vehicle and a second configuration in which the seating orientation is directed towards a rear end of the autonomous vehicle. The passenger seat can include a seatback rotatable about a pivot point on a base of the passenger seat to switch between the first configuration and the second configuration. Alternatively, or additionally, the autonomous vehicle can include a door assembly pivotably fixed to a vehicle body of the autonomous vehicle such that a swept path of the door assembly when moving between an open position and a closed position is reduced.

A vehicle seat includes a seat base, a backrest connected to the seat base and an leg rest assembly, also referred to as a leg rest assembly. The leg rest assembly includes a deflectable leg support panel pivotably connected to the seat base. The deflectable leg support panel and deflects under a load of legs of the user and returns with a restoring force back to an initial position upon removing the load of the legs of the user. The leg rest assembly may be connected to the vehicle seat by a pivoting structure, that allows the leg rest assembly to be pivoted to a non use position. The leg rest assembly may also be fixedly connected to the vehicle seat a support base front cross structure. This fixed connection then forms an only pivot axis of the leg rest assembly.

Vehicle seating system

A seating system for a vehicle includes a seat back and a seat bottom selectively rotatable between a design position and a stowed position. A latch arrangement has a first cam with first and second surfaces, a support structure with first and second surfaces, and a second cam. The latch arrangement has a first locking position wherein the first surface of the first cam engages the first surface of the support structure so that movement of the seat bottom from the design position to the stowed position is inhibited. The latch arrangement also has a second locking position wherein the second cam engages a portion of the support structure so that movement of the seat bottom from the stowed position to the design position is inhibited.

VEHICLE

A vehicle includes a first seat, a second seat, and an article placement part. The first seat and the second seat are disposed to face each other in a vehicle room. The article placement part is disposed around at least one of the first seat and the second seat. A high contrast part having a high brightness and a high saturation relative to another interior component is provided on a member surface which becomes a back portion of an article that is placed on the article placement part.

SEAT ASSEMBLY WITH ZERO-GRAVITY POSITION

A seat assembly for use by an occupant in an automotive vehicle includes a seat cushion pivotally coupled to a seat base at a cushion pivot. The seat assembly further includes a seat back pivotally coupled to the seat cushion at a lower recline pivot. A tilt mechanism is further coupled between the seat cushion and the seat base for pivoting of the seat cushion at the cushion pivot to move the seat assembly to and from a zero-gravity position. A first line extends vertically through an H-point of the occupant when the seat assembly is disposed in a design position. The lower recline pivot is positioned under the H-point approximately on the first line and the cushion pivot is positioned forward of the first line to facilitate optimal comfort for the occupant when the seat assembly is disposed in the zero-gravity position.

FLIGHT ATTENDANT SEAT AND METHOD FOR FITTING A FLIGHT ATTENDANT SEAT

A flight attendant seat comprising a frame that can be mounted on a carrier fixture or integrated into the carrier fixture, and at least one seat arrangement integrated into the frame. The frame comprises a lower section, an upper section and a central section taking up the at least one seat arrangement, at least partially. The lower section is formed bent at least in a region adjoining the central section. A method is provided for fitting a flight attendant seat.

A vehicle seat includes a seatback, a seat cushion, and a wheelchair fixing device. The seat cushion is switchable to a tip-up state where the seat cushion has been tipped up so as to extend along the seatback. The seat cushion includes a seating surface and a rear surface that is on the opposite side of the seat cushion from the seating surface. The wheelchair fixing device is provided on the rear surface-side. The wheelchair fixing device is configured to fix a wheelchair to the seat cushion.

An adequate mechanical stiffness and strength are afforded to a tumble seat or a vehicle seat having a latch mechanism provided in a rear end of the seat cushion. A cushion frame (F1) of the seat includes a side frame (5) extending in a fore and aft direction, and the side frame includes a first member (10) comprising a channel member having an open side facing sideways and a second member (11) attached to the first member so as to form a closed cross section jointly with the first member, and extending downward further than the first member. A latch mechanism is positioned under the first member and attached to the second member.

AUTOMATED DIRECTIONAL DRILLING SYSTEM AND METHOD USING STEERABLE DRILLING MOTORS

A method for drilling a subterranean wellbore includes deploying a drill string in the wellbore, the drill string including a drill bit and a steerable drilling motor. The drill string is automatically rotated at the surface back and forth between first and second opposing rotational directions, rotating in the first direction until a first torque limit is exceeded and rotating in the second direction until a second torque limit is exceeded. A toolface of the steerable drilling motor and a differential pressure across the steerable drilling motor are measured while automatically rotating the drill string. A surface processor processes the measured toolface and differential pressure in combination with a target toolface and a target differential pressure to compute new first and second torque limits. The automatic rotating is repeated using the new first and second torque limits.
