AIRBAG CUSHION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The present application relates to an airbag cushion comprising the reinforcing fabric and a method for preparing the same. According to the present application, adequate levels of tenacity, elongation, dimensional stability, impact resistance and the like required for an airbag cushion and its reinforcing fabric are simultaneously met.
Airbag fabric and airbag
An airbag fabric is excellent in slippage amount and strength in a sewn portion. The airbag fabric is made of a synthetic fiber, the fabric having a constant (load of 98 N/30 mm) elongation of 1 to 5% and having a residual strain rate of 0.1 to 1.5%, the residual strain rate being obtained when the fabric is allowed to stand still for 10 minutes from the removal of the 98 N/30 mm load after the retention of the fabric for 10 minutes while the 98 N/30 mm load is applied to the fabric. The strength in the sewn portion is preferably 1200 N or more in each of the warp and the weft.
One-piece woven airbag with integrally woven indicia
An airbag and a method for manufacturing the airbag. The airbag is manufactured by weaving yarns to form a one-piece woven (OPW) airbag having inflatable portions and non-inflatable portions. The non-inflatable portions are woven with varying weave patterns so as to form recesses in the surface of the airbag in the form of an indicia.
AIR-BAG
Provided is an air-bag capable of further reducing damage value to a passenger and limiting the amount of use of inflator gas by limiting an excessive increase in the internal pressure of the air-bag upon contacting the passenger while increasing the speed of deployment in a passenger protection area. The air-bag includes a main chamber and a sub-chamber that are connected via a communication portion, wherein the communication portion or a region adjacent to the communication portion is configured of a multilayer structure portion comprising three or more layers.
Airbag device for a driver's seat
An airbag device includes a steering wheel a rim portion of which has a longer length in a left and right direction than in a front and back direction, and an airbag mounted on a boss section of the steering wheel. An outer shell of the airbag includes a vehicle-side wall that is configured to be supported by an upper surface of the rim portion when deployed, and a driver-side wall a central region of which is configured to deploy generally vertically for receiving the driver. The airbag as deployed includes, in a rear portion of the vehicle-side wall, a locking inflatable portion that protrudes downward from a vicinity of the upper surface of the rim portion of the steering wheel to be locked by a rear surface of the rim portion and prevent a front portion of the airbag from slipping forward.
Method of manufacturing laminate, laminate, and airbag
A method of manufacturing a laminate including a fabric and a thermoplastic film, wherein the thermoplastic film is a multilayer film including an adhesive layer including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a barrier layer that is bonded to the adhesive layer, and that has a melting point that is higher than a melting point of the adhesive layer, and that includes a polymer, and wherein the fabric includes a polyester, the method including a step of adhering a side of the multilayer film with the adhesive layer to the fabric, while heating the multilayer film at a temperature below the melting point of the barrier layer.
Woven fabric for airbags having superior suppression of air permeability, high tear strength, and excellent reliability
A woven fabric for an air bag characterized by the asymmetry (R), in the front and back of the woven fabric and indicated by the following formula, of the radius of curvature (φof an intersecting section in which the warp thread and the weft thread come in contact in the cross section of the woven fabric, being in the range of 1.05-1,50, R=φa/φb (φa indicates the larger radius of curvature out of the radii of curvature (φ) in the front and back surfaces of the woven fabric, and φb indicates the smaller radius of curvature).
Seatbelt device
A seatbelt device is provided with a webbing and a bag body. The webbing is applied to the body of a vehicle occupant. The bag body includes a first layer at a webbing side and a second layer at an opposite side from the webbing, with the first layer disposed therebetween. The bag body is provided along a length direction of the webbing, fixed to one side of a thickness direction of the webbing and supported by the webbing, and disposed between the webbing and the body of the vehicle occupant in a state in which the webbing is applied to the body of the vehicle occupant. The bag body is inflated by fluid being supplied thereinside. A joined portion at which the first layer and second layer are locally joined together is formed in the bag body. The inflation of the bag body is controlled by the joined portion.
REAR SEAT AIRBAG MODULE
A rear vehicle seat airbag module configured to be mounted to a portion of a seat back of a front vehicle seat comprising an inflator and an inflatable cushion comprising a lower portion, an upper portion and an external tether connecting the lower portion and the upper portion. The inflator provides inflation gas to the inflatable cushion and the inflatable cushion is configured to deploy forward of an occupant seated in a rear seat of a vehicle by curving away from the occupant. The external tether is configured to control a trajectory of the deployment of the inflatable cushion by pulling the upper portion toward the lower portion to curve the inflatable cushion such that the upper portion is located above the lower portion.
PASSENGER PROTECTING DEVICE
A passenger protecting device including: an airbag device including an airbag that receives a supply of gas from an inflator and is inflated and expanded, by a front expanding portion that includes a front inflating portion to be inflated and expanded at a seat front side of the head portion and at least one of a chest portion and shoulder portions of the passenger, and a pair of left and right lateral expanding portions that include lateral inflating portions that are connected to the front expanding portion and are inflated and expanded at sides of the head portion of the passenger; and a position changing device that changes an inflated and expanded position of the airbag in a seat transverse direction, in accordance with a direction of collision of a collision body with respect to the vehicle seat.
