AIRBAG BASE FABRIC AND AIRBAG
Provided is an airbag base fabric that is a woven fabric constituted by a yarn containing polyethylene terephthalate as the main raw material, the yarn constituting the woven fabric having a total fineness of 280 to 500 dtex and a single fiber fineness of 1.0 to 3.9 dtex, the woven fabric having a cover factor of 2400 to 2800, and the D-value calculated from the thickness D.sub.1 of a single sheet of the base fabric and the thickness D.sub.10 of ten sheets of the base fabric that are stacked together being 0.9 or less, where the D-value is calculated using a formula A below:
D=D.sub.10/(D.sub.1×10) Formula A:
AIRBAG PACKAGE
An airbag package includes a one-piece woven airbag in a folded shape, a plurality of markers that are formed on the airbag, and a plurality of tape members that are bound around the airbag at locations of the markers for keeping the folded shape of the airbag. Each of the markers is composed of a weave structure that is different from that of surroundings in the airbag.
NON-COATED AIRBAG BASE FABRIC, COATED AIRBAG BASE FABRIC, AND AIRBAG USING SAME
A technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a non-coated fabric for airbags and a coated fabric for airbags that are both less likely to have yarn slippage after being sewn, and that can be compactly stored; and airbags using these fabrics. The fabric for airbags according to the present invention is a non-coated fabric for airbags or a coated fabric for airbags that both have a crimp ratio of 12% or more in the weft direction, and a crimp ratio of 61 or less in the warp direction.
COATED FABRIC AND AIR BAG COMPRISING THE SAME
The present application relates to a coated fabric and an air bag comprising the same.
Stitching for a protection device
In one example, an apparatus for helping to protect an occupant of a vehicle includes an inflatable vehicle occupant protection device having a deflated condition and an inflated condition. The protection device includes a first panel having a centerline and first and second openings. A second panel is secured to the first panel to define an inflatable volume. First and second self-adaptive vents are secured to the first panel over the first and second openings on opposite sides of the centerline for selectively releasing inflation fluid from the inflatable volume in response to penetration of the occupant into the protection device. A first reinforcing stitching extends through the first panel and around a portion of the first self-adaptive vent. A second reinforcing stitching extends through the first panel and around a portion of the second self-adaptive vent. Each of the first and second reinforcing stitchings is spaced entirely from the respective first and second self-adaptive vents.
Bag body
Provided is a bag body which has a flatter shape in its expanded state. This bag body has control yarn therein, which controls expansion. The control yarn includes: a first seam which extends from a non-expansion section to another non-expansion section within the bag body; a second seam which is a seam forming the fabric on one surface of the expansion section of the bag body, and is formed by being separated from the fabric on said one surface, threaded through the first seam, and turned back to the fabric on said one surface; and a third seam which is a seam forming the fabric on the other surface of the expansion section of the bag body, and is formed by being separated from the fabric on the other surface, threaded through the first seam, and turned back to the fabric on the other surface. A control seam group, which is configured from the first to third seams, includes: a first seam unit that is configured such that the two or more second seams alone are consecutively threaded through the first seam; and a second seam unit that is configured such that the two or more third seams alone are consecutively threaded through the first seam. The first and second seam units are alternately arranged in the direction in which the first seam extends.
AIRBAG BASE FABRIC AND AIRBAG
The present invention relates to an airbag base fabric including a woven fabric made from a yarn containing polyethylene terephthalate as the main raw material, the yarn having a single fiber fineness of 1.0 to 3.9 dtex and a total fineness of 280 to 470 dtex, and, in a Raman spectrum obtained by irradiating the yarn with a HeNe laser with a wavelength of 630 nm, I.sub.x/I.sub.0 being 1.20 or more, where I.sub.x is the spectral intensity at 3083 cm.sup.1, and I.sub.0=277.4.
HINGE STRUCTURE FOR AIR BAG DOOR
The present invention provides a hinge structure for an air bag door. The hinge structure includes a housing disposed inside a crash pad, an air bag disposed inside the housing, an air bag door disposed on a rear surface of the crash pad adjacent to the air bag, a hinge portion disposed on at least a portion of a rear surface of the air bag door, and a scrim member disposed at least a portion of the hinge portion, the housing and the air bag door, all the components constituting an air bag assembly, wherein the hinge portion is constructed so as to break when the air bag door is opened, and the scrim member serves to enable the air bag door to be opened while being connected to the housing after the hinge portion breaks.
Air bag arrangement for a vehicle-occupant-restraining system and method for producing an airbag arrangement
It is provided an airbag arrangement for a vehicle-occupant-restraining system, comprising an airbag, wherein at least one airbag layer delimits an inflatable volume of the airbag; and at least one fastening tab, which is connected to the airbag layer and is intended for fastening the airbag on a vehicle component. The entire fastening tab is formed from a different material to that of the airbag layer.
AIRBAG INCLUDING REINFORCING THREADS
A vehicle includes a door, a seat spaced from the door, and an airbag supported by the seat and inflatable to an inflated position between the door and the seat. The airbag includes a plurality of first threads and a plurality of second threads being a different type of thread than the first threads. The airbag includes a first portion having the first threads interwoven with each other. The airbag includes a second portion having the second threads interwoven with the first threads. The second portion faces the door in the inflated position.
