A men's brief is provided which protects penile impact experienced by athletes during exercise and sport activities. The brief is made from cotton or similar fabric and has a penile pouch for accommodating the penis and an opening through which the pouch can protrude. A male fastener is provided on the outer tip of the pouch which can be fastened to one or more female fasteners provided near the waistband of the brief.

A method and underwear system that mitigates the genital chafing discomfort in human males.

A novel genital support undergarment for men is disclosed comprising a material pouch which supports male genitalia such that in use a back edge of the pouch tucks underneath the scrotum above a lowest point of the pouch. The back edge includes a thickened material seam that contacts the scrotum of the user. The pouch is a soft material and can be simply attached to an elastic waistband or affixed to a larger undergarment, such as briefs or boxers. No strap or other material between the legs is used to connect the bottom of the pouch to a waistband at the back.

An article of manufacture comprising an undergarment is disclosed. A fly pouch is formed by connecting an outer panel to an inner portion of the undergarment. The fly pouch is configured to be opened by pulling the outer panel away from the inner portion of the undergarment. The pulling of the outer panel away from the inner portion of the undergarment allows a portion of a body that has been inserted or is visible through an opening in the inner portion of the undergarment to be exposed.

A lower torso garment (220) includes a body portion (104), a front pouch (106) disposed about a front region of the body portion, and a support sling connected to the front pouch and configured to support the front pouch. The support sling includes a left fabric panel (224) extending along a left side periphery (112a) of the front pouch and a right fabric panel (226) extending along a right side periphery (112b) of the front pouch. A portion of the left fabric panel overlaps a portion of the right fabric panel at an overlap area (228), and the overlap area is positioned adjacent to a bottom of the front pouch.

A garment has a front panel, a horizontally oriented fly comprising a slit opening having a width positioned at a substantially even with male genitalia, the slit opening having hemmed edges, the fly further comprising a flap panel having an upper and a lower edge and two opposite side edges, sewn to the front panel such that access from outside is upward into the garment, a forward-facing pouch formed in the front panel, substantially the width of the horizontal linear slit opening, and positioned above the horizontal linear slit opening, and an elastic band positioned horizontally above and parallel to the upper edge of the flap panel and below the forward-facing pouch, the elastic band extending at least the width of the flap panel, and sewn at each end to the fabric front panel.

An undergarment for a man has a pair of boxer type shorts with a waistband forming part of the shorts. The shorts have a genital partitioning panel with an upper edge and an opposed lower edge separated by a panel height. The genital partitioning panel has a genital opening defined therethrough and the opening is positioned such that the genitals may be positioned through the opening and the genital partitioning panel defines a partition between the genitals and the legs or groin of the man. The shorts also have a plurality of attachment elements to selectively adjust a distance between the genital opening and the waistband.

A method and underwear system to better mitigate the genital chafing discomfort in men, as well as providing an improved means of absorbency for vaginal discharge in women.

An undergarment that provides improved seam stretch, includes a center-front pouch, a front-side-and-rear panel and, in some embodiments, a crotch gusset panel. The front-side-and-rear panel is joined to the center-front pouch on either side of the center-front pouch. The center-front pouch is composed of two layers of material, an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner and outer layers and being joined by a center seam of the center-front pouch. In certain embodiments, each leg hem is a combination feature comprising a self-turnback fold, bonded with adhesive stretch tape. In certain embodiments, a seam allowance of the center-front pouch seam of the center-front pouch is folded within the inner layer and the outer layer of the center-front pouch.
