The present invention relates to a wiping device for a detection system of a vehicle, including a wiper blade, a wiper arm, a motor unit and a drive unit. The drive unit includes a guidance block which carries the wiper arm, and which is inserted in a guidance frame, and a plurality of belt wheels. At least one drive belt wheel is driven in a rotational motion by the motor unit. The drive unit further includes a belt which is driven by the belt wheels and moves the guidance block according to a rectilinear motion.

A windshield wiper lifting system is provided. The system is used for controlling the position of a vehicle windshield wiper by lifting the wiper above a windshield using a motorized cable mechanism. The system comprises at least one motor that rotates a spool, which winds or unwinds a corrosion-resistant cable attached to the wiper.
