It is provided according to the invention that, in addition to its longitudinal displaceability, the securing element (27) is arranged pivotably on the wiper arm (2).

WIPER ARM

A wiper arm properly connects a retainer and an arm piece, even if a radius of curvature in a bent portion of a holding part of the retainer is set large, in the wiper arm including the arm piece connected to the retainer by accommodating and holding a held part of the arm piece within the holding part of the retainer. An arm piece includes a held part including chamfered portions disposed opposite to bent portions of a holding part of a retainer. A held part has a flat upper surface between the chamfered portions and is held within an accommodating portion of the holding part so that the upper surface abuts on a lower surface of a flat top wall of the holding part. The chamfered portions are formed so that a width of the upper surface is not larger than a width of the lower surface.

Rear wiper assembly

Provided is a rear wiper assembly having a rear wiper arm, a cover, a joint, and a motion-stopping mechanism. A connector and a cover are hingedly connected to the rear end of the rear wiper arm. When the cover is in a closed state, it covers the connector; the motion-stopping mechanism has a first interference element and a second interference element, at least one of the interference elements being a flexible element; the first interference element is arranged on the rear wiper arm, and the second interference element is arranged on the cover, when the cover is in an open state and when the angle between the upper surface of the cover and the upper surface of the rear wiper arm is within a predetermined range, the interference elements interfere with each other, preventing the cover from turning over in the direction of the connector.

Adjustable blade load mechanism for cantilever beam wiper arm assembly

A windshield wiper system has a drive arm with a drive shaft connector, a curved cantilever beam, and a wiper blade assembly. The drive arm is configured to connect to a drive shaft at the drive shaft connector. The curved cantilever beam is connected to the drive arm with a first drive arm fastener and a moveable drive arm fastener. The first drive arm fastener is positioned on the drive arm between the drive shaft connector and the moveable drive arm fastener. The wiper blade assembly is connected to the curved cantilever beam with a wiper blade fastener. The curved cantilever beam has an effective length extending from the moveable drive arm fastener to the wiper blade assembly fastener.
