Windscreen wiper device

A windscreen wiper device is provided including a longitudinally extending wiper strip of a flexible material. At least one carrier of a spring-like material operatively supports and biases the wiper strip into a predetermined configuration. The windscreen wiper device further includes a connecting device for connection with a wiper arm. At least a portion of the wiper strip has a microtextured surface formed directly into the flexible material. The microtextured surface may be on, for example, any one of or any combination of a wiping portion, a channel, a hinge portion and a spoiler portion of the wiper strip.

BLOCK COPOLYMER AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR BLOCK COPOLYMER

Disclosed is a block copolymer including one or more blocks of an acrylate polymer and one or more blocks of a chloroprene polymer, wherein the number average molecular weight of the block copolymer is 110,000 or more, the number average molecular weight of the block of a chloroprene polymer is 80,000 or more in total, and the block copolymer has a functional group with a structure represented by the following chemical formula (1) or (2):

##STR00001##

wherein in the chemical formula (1), R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a substituted, or unsubstituted heterocyclyl group.

EP(D)M-EVM WIPER RUBBER WITH IMPROVED COLD FLEXIBILITY
20200207967 · 2020-07-02 ·

A wiper rubber (10) for a wiper blade, especially for a windshield wiper, with an elastomer material comprising a polymer blend composed of at least one ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and/or at least one ethylene-propylene rubber, and at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is disclosed. In order to provide a wiper rubber that has improved wiping quality and improved running properties, especially reduced or zero running noise, such as humming, whistling, squeaking, smacking, turnover noises, et cetera, both at moderate and especially at cold outside temperature, and especially also over a broad frequency range customary in wiper operation, the at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, based on the total weight of the at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, comprises a vinyl acetate content within a range from 40% by weight to 90% by weight, where the polymer blend, based on the total weight of the polymers in the polymer blend, comprises 0.1% by weight to 30% by weight of the at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WIPER OF VEHICLE
20200114878 · 2020-04-16 ·

A vehicle wiper control apparatus monitors whether warpage occurs in a wiper strip made of a rubber-elastic material that is provided in a wiper blade. When a wiper of a vehicle is turned off and the warpage occurs in the wiper strip, the control apparatus controls the wiper mechanism to move the wiper blade to a parking position thereby preventing deformation of the wiper strip and maintaining the performance thereof.

COMPOSITE BLADE DESIGN

A windshield wiper system (WWS) blade assembly is provided. The WWS blade assembly includes a composite frame and a blade that has a length which is normally shorter than a corresponding length of the composite frame. The blade includes first and second ends attachable to corresponding first and second ends of the composite frame, respectively.
