A rollator braking system for a rollator includes two handles, two brake lever assemblies, and two wires. The rollator includes a frame and a plurality of wheels attached to the frame for moving the rollator. The two handles are adjustably connected to the frame, and each handle including a gripping member. Each of the two brake lever assemblies include a bracket fixedly connected to the handle and a lever rotatably connected to the bracket to rotate towards and away from the gripping member when in an unlocked position, and fixedly connected to the bracket when in a locked position. Each of the two wires are operably connected between a lever assembly and a brake on one of the wheels such that when the lever is rotated towards the gripping member, the brake slows rotation of the wheel, and when the lever is in the locked position the brake stops the rotation of the wheel.

DIFFERENTIAL EMERGENCY/PARK ELECTRIC BRAKE SYSTEM

A system, apparatus and method provide emergency differential braking for effecting braked steering of an aircraft. A brake input device is provided that not only allows for emergency and parking brake functions, but also enables differential braking. The brake input device (e.g., a parking and/or emergency brake lever, pedal, handle, etc.) can be used in a brake system including a brake system control unit (BSCU), one or more electro-mechanical actuator controllers (EMACs) and a brake assembly including one or more electrical actuators. Each EMAC is electrically coupled to one or more of the actuators so as to provide electrical power for driving the actuators. Each EMAC is also communicatively coupled to the BSCU so as to receive braking data therefrom. In an emergency, the input device sends braking signals directly to the brake actuators.

A park brake assembly includes a base. A park brake lever is pivotal about the base. A pawl is pivotal about a pawl pivot. The pawl is linked to the brake lever. A sector is attached to the base and the pawl releasably locks and unlocks relative to the sector. The pawl includes a pivot slot that receives the pawl pivot and wherein the pawl translates about the pawl pivot changing an angle of engagement of the pawl relative to the sector when subjected to a force.

Combined reverse engagement activation and parking brake lever and methods of operation and manufacture of the same

An apparatus may, for example, include a first lever pivoting about a first axis. The apparatus may also include a second lever mounted with the first lever, pivoting about a second axis, and biased to a first position. The first lever can be configured to engage a braking system of a vehicle when the first lever is pivoted about the first axis and the second lever is in the first position. The second lever can be configured to be pivoted about the second axis to a second position. The first lever can be configured to disengage a reverse lockout system of the vehicle when the second lever is in the second position. The second lever can be configured to be pivoted about the second axis to a third position, which cases the first lever to engage a parking brake mechanism of the vehicle.

The invention relates to an activation device (1) for a parking brake with a parking brake lever (2) swivel-mounted on a bearing block (3) and with a blocking device comprised of a pawl (13) on the parking brake lever (2) and a locking segment (12) on the bearing block (3). The parking brake lever (2) is fixed in place in a swivel position via the engagement of the pawl (13) with the locking segment (12). The swivel position of the parking brake lever (2) is transmitted via a transmission element to the parking brake and with a transfer device in or on the parking brake lever (2). The engagement of the pawl (13) with the locking segment (12) is released by actuating the transfer device. To form a swivel bearing, a shaft is provided to which a holder (7) for the transmission element and the parking brake lever (2) can be affixed in different rotational positions. As an alternative, or in addition, a linear movement of the pawl (13) is brought about by means of the transfer device.
