The bib is useful for catching vomit and spillage when an infant or toddler spills liquid, spill solids or vomits for providing transfer of a user from one location to another location. The bib has a pocket in the front that is expandable by a expanding portion that is preferably of an accordion style. The pocket has a closure that is preferably a zip-lock closure and has a tab to allow for the easy opening and closing of the closure. The pocket has one or more handles to allow for easy control of the pocket. The pocket being expandable can expand to accept various amount of vomit, spillage, accessories, etc.

The top edge has a right arm cutout, a left arm cutout, and a neck portion extending therebetween. The neck portion has a head aperture extending therethrough. The inner side is a soft material and the outer side is a waterproof material. A plurality of first chair mating members is coupled to the inner side of the bib body adjacent the bottom edge, the left edge, and the right edge. A plurality of second chair mating members is configured to be coupled to a pair of arms and a table of a high chair. The plurality of second chair mating members is selectively engageable with the plurality of first chair mating members.

Methods and apparatus relate to a debris catcher extending substantially in a plane from an integrated skirt toward a front lip that extends upward out of the plane less than a lateral lip extends upwards out of the plane. In an exemplary embodiment, a collar may be attachable to a debris catcher to provide a soft contact. In various embodiments, at least one perimeter rib may be embedded in the debris catcher to provide a rigid and stable flat portion. In some implementations, at least one partition rib may be arranged on the debris catcher to provide separated areas. In various embodiments, the debris catcher may not only keep debris retained on the debris catcher but also may enable the debris catcher to be pulled under a table.

The moisture impervious barrier can have sleeves and extend past the waistline of the child and at least over the wearer's shoulders to keep the front of the wearer's clothes clean and dry. The substantially resilient front protective portion can include a holder, like a traditional bib, for catching and holding food and liquids dropped or spilled by the wearer while eating, painting, making crafts, or other activity. The wearer can be a child, baby, elderly person, disabled or special needs person, for example.

Disclosed herein is a debris-catching bib apparatus and method of using the same. The bib can include a body, which is a rectangularly shaped panel of water resistant material. The water resistance allows the bib to be a protectant shield, for example shielding a baby's clothes from being soiled during feeding. The bib can include a collar, a base, and a fastener. The collar can be an extended flap of material that is tucked underneath the body and underneath clothes around the neck of the baby, providing additional soil protection. The base can be a flexible and large flap of material that expands into a receptacle. The fastener securely attaches the expanded base to an object, such as a high chair. Fastening the bib forms a sealed barrier between the baby's chin and the object, allowing any debris to be caught in the receptacle at the bib's base.

A bag convertible to a bib. The bag is comprised of a primary flexible material (such as paper) and may also incorporate an attachment mechanism and a scored or perforated portion. Score lines enable a user to transform a portion of the bag walls from the open end of the bag into the straps of a bib. With the straps of the bag unfurled, the user can connect the strap ends to each other behind the neck of the user (or, if there is one long strap, around the neck of the user and then re-connected to the bag), such that the remainder of the bag hangs from the user's neck presenting a portion of the bag to collect falling debris, and a bib surface which rests on the chest (or clothing, etc.) of the user to intercept spillage.
