A container lid is provided herein having structurally reinforcing ribs therein. The ribs increase the strength of the lid across a central region thereof. Specifically, the lid can have an outer perimeter and the ribs can be spaced inwardly from the outer perimeter. The inwardly spaced ribs can provide a distinct look for consumer differentiation. Additionally, the ribs can be arcuate so that they generally follow a curvature of the outer perimeter of the lid. As such, a label region within the lid central region is preserved, while the lid is still strengthened by the ribs.

Containers for storing food in a storage compartment may include a base portion of the container. The storage compartment is sealed with a film to get the food stored in the storage compartment fresh. The container further includes a reversible lid that is able to attach to the base portion of the container in two different configurations. In a first configuration the reversible lid attaches to the base portion without affecting the seal created by the film. In a second configuration the reversible lid attaches to the base portion when the lid is inverted and the film is removed from the base portion.

The invention relates to a packaging comprising a plastic container (2), comprising side walls (20, 21, 22, 23) meeting in corners (24), an upper opening (25) and a bottom (26), as well as a detachable plastic lid configured to cover the upper opening of the container (2), and wherein said side walls (20, 21, 22, 23) of the container are divergent, together forming a truncated pyramid, configured so that said container can be stacked in an identical container. According to the invention, said container has projecting portions (29) extending from side walls at the upper opening (25) of the container, said projection portions (29) being external to the container, configured to guarantee a constant stacking pitch between the container (2) and said identical container, when said container is stacked in said identical container.

A lid for a container holding a flowable contents comprising a first section brim mount member, unitarily molded and reversibly securely sealed onto an upper end rim of a container forming a raised ring-shaped crown portion with two opposing drinking access ports, circumscribing a second elevated recessed planar region forming a recessed centrally configured hatch opening in the top wall. A second section hatch cover member is unitarily molded, sized and shaped to concentrically fit over, and reversibly securely seal the recessed hatch opening in a co-planar configuration. The hatch cover member is securely and reversibly joined in a non-permanent manner to the top wall of the brim mount member via a ball and socket-type hinge pivoting the hatch cover member quickly and reliably about an axis line parallel to the top wall of the brim mount member rotatably between a closed position and an opened position.

A tamper evident closure includes a first snap, a cover, a tear strip connected to the cover, and a second snap connected to the tear strip. In a closed position, a cavity of the cover is configured to be placed over the first snap, and the second snap is configured to be placed in and engaged with a cavity in the first snap. In a closed position, there is a gap between the first snap and the cover.

A backward-folded opening-resistant container structure includes first and second casing members combinable with each other. The first casing member has an outer side to which a foldable member that includes an insertion trough and an engaging member is connected. The second casing member includes a grip portion having a notch. A break-away unit includes a planar portion connected to the notch by means of a perforation line and a fastening portion in the form of a hollow cylindrical body having an end formed with an opening connected to the planar portion. The insertion trough and the fastening portion are combinable with each other, and the foldable member is foldable to have the engaging member inserted into the opening. When the first casing member and the second casing member are separated, the perforation line is broken and the break-away unit detaches from the second casing member.

A drink cup lid includes a ring-shaped brim mount adapted to mate with a brim of a drink cup and a central closure surrounded by the ring-shaped brim mount and including an annular top wall formed to include a top aperture and an adjacent liquid-discharge outlet. An apparatus is described. The apparatus is a closure or a lid. The closure includes a body portion, a tab, and a flange portion. The body portion comprises a first locking feature. The tab is coupled to the body portion of the closure via a hinge. The tab includes a plurality of edges and a second locking feature. The tab has a closed position and an open position, and when in the open position, the second locking feature is coupled to the first locking feature. When the tab is in a first condition, the plurality of edges of the tab pass through the flange portion from one position to another position without interference. When the tab is in a second condition, at least one of the plurality of edges of the tab overlaps the flange portion such that the flange portion interferes with the movement of the tab through the flange portion.
