Multi-layer web and process for forming scored lidding film for blister packages
Multi-layer web and mechanical scoring process for forming lidding film for push through blister packages. The web is configured to resist the tensile forces encountered during manufacturing processes, including slitting, rewinding and heat sealing processes. A simplified web conversion process for creating mechanically scored lidding film for blister packages is provided at reduced investment and operational costs compared to prior art systems.
Multi-Layer Products
A seal for use with a container for storing and dispensing consumer products is described. The seal includes a cover layer having pre-formed lines of separation defining one or more releasable portions, an adhesive layer on the cover layer, and one or more patches on the adhesive layer. Each patch is associated with a respective one of the releasable portions 6 and consists of a hot melt polymer. The hot melt polymer can be applied to the adhesive layer using a suitable coating or spraying process.
DISPENSING DEVICE
Dispensing devices are described which can contain at least one substance(s) that can be squished, emptied, extruded, and/or poured out. The dispensing devices can comprise a deformable housing including a top portion and a bottom portion forming an internal volume, a circumferential edge portion, and a dispensing port.
PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING
The present invention discloses a packaging apparatus having a pod (1) containing product (3), and a retaining layer (2) which closes the pod (1) so that the product (3) is held captive within the pod (1), the pod (1) and/or the retaining layer (2) has a predetermined frangible feature which provides a weakened portion (4) in part of the surface of the pod (1) and/or the retaining layer (2) and thereby the weakened portion (4) is broken by deforming the pod (1) to get access to the product (3).
Package For Medical Device
Packages comprising a film surrounding the sterile medical device are described and including a tear-enabling feature and a gripping feature enabling a user to use a finger, a thumb or an end of a tool to apply a sufficient tearing force to cause the tear-enabling feature to tear and move the first end of the package away from the second end of the package using only one hand and to expose the sterile medical device to be accessed for use. Also described are methods of packaging a sterile medical device.
Blister pack system
The technology described herein generally relates to a blister pack system. The blister pack system includes multiple cavities for storing products. For example, four cavities may hold four different products. A technician may extract the four different products in a particular order. The blister pack makes it easy for the technician to determine which product to use first, and to determine which successive product to use even if the orientation of the blister pack is changed during the process.
Tear openable catheter assembly
A medical device assembly is disclosed, comprising a medical device, such as a urinary catheter, and preferably having a hydrophilic surface coating, and a package forming a closed compartment around the catheter. The package is formed of at least one sheet of tearable material and comprises a first weld extending along a first side in a first direction of the package and a second weld extending along a second side in a second direction of the package. The first and second directions are different and preferably orthogonal to each other. A tear line is provided in the second weld, and arranged to direct a subsequent tear towards the first weld. Further, the first weld is provided with an inward protrusion, protruding inwardly towards the closed compartment, at a distance from the second weld. A corresponding method of production is also disclosed.
UNIT OF PACKAGED PRODUCT, AND METHOD OF PACKAGING A PRODUCT
A packaged product unit including a package with an inner cavity having a pocket portion containing a product and communicating with an elongated portion in which a straw is housed. The straw has a proximal end which leads into the pocket portion and a distal end which is closed by a cap portion of the package. An outer wall of the straw is welded perimetrically to the package in a proximal sealing area at the proximal end of the straw to prevent leakage of the product from the pocket portion along an outer surface of the straw.
Packaging For Safety Needle
Single and dual packaging for fill needles and safety needles are described herein. Such packaging can include hard packaging or blister packs. Such packaging can include a premature activation element disposed on an inner sidewall of a compartment of the packaging to nest within a recess of a tether of a safety needle device to prevent accidental activation of the safety needle device prior to use by the user.
