WEARABLE MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device for early detection of breast cancer is provided. Embodiments of the application incorporate a medical device (e.g., formed as a sports bra), one or more user devices, and an analytics computing device. The medical device is incorporated with a plurality of sensors to detect changes in density (or other metrics) of the breast tissue. The medical device is placed snuggly over the breast tissue to generate measurements by the plurality of sensors. The measurements are transmitted to the analytics computing device to analyze over a time period. When the measurements exceed a threshold value, the analytics computing device may perform an action, including transmitting an electronic communication to a physician user or a patient user (e.g., to identify a potential issue, to transfer the measurement data, to recommend an action to the patient user).
A BRA REDUCING SECONDARY CANCER RISK
The present invention relates to a bra which is used for the purpose of reducing secondary cancer risk during treatment of breast cancer patients
Garment configured to enable localized soaking of the upper torso
A garment configured for placement and wearing on the upper torso, chest, and back of a wearer for soaking the breast tissue and chest of the wearer for the treatment of sore and irritated tissue. The garment having a shell portion configured to form a cavity surrounding this anatomical region allowing the wearer the ability to place a fluid into an interior space of the shell. The garment including a gasketing means and securing means coupled to the shell portion and configured to aid in providing a watertight or semi-watertight seal and securing the device in proper placement on the wearer.
WEARABLE DEVICE CONFIGURED TO EVALUATE A BREAST AREA OF A USER AND PROVIDE A PREDICTION ASSOCIATED WITH THE BREAST AREA
A wearable device configured to evaluate a breast area of a user and provide a prediction associated with the breast area of the user is provided. The wearable device includes a garment insert detachably coupled to a garment designed for at least partial contact with the breast area of the user and sensors configured to collect data associated with the breast area of the user. The sensors may collect first breast data at a first time and second breast data at a second time, different from the first time. A breast area prediction may be generated based on comparing the first breast data to the second breast data, and may define an estimation of breast area risk for the user. A feedback indication may be provided to a user interface based on the breast area prediction, indicating whether the user should receive a breast area evaluation from a medical professional.
Multilayer Smart Bra or Bra Insert for Optical Detection of Breast Cancer
This device is a multi-layer smart bra or bra insert for optical detection of breast cancer. It has four layers: an air-gap-reducing layer; an optical layer with a plurality of light emitters and light detectors; an expandable layer; and a structural layer. Light from the light emitters which has been transmitted through and/or reflected from breast tissue and received by the light detectors is analyzed to detect and/or image abnormal breast tissue.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TREATING A STRICTURE ALONG THE BILIARY AND/OR PANCREATIC TRACT
Medical devices for use along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract. An example system for treating a stricture, for example along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract, may include a guidewire for antegrade stricture crossing along the biliary and/or pancreatic tract. The guidewire may have a distal end region and a proximal end region. A hub may be coupled to the proximal end region. A tubular sheath may be slidably disposed along the guidewire. The tubular sheath may have a plurality of slots formed therein. The hub may be configured to secure the axial position of the tubular sheath relative to the guidewire.
Support for body portion
A variety of body supports are disclosed for supporting a body portion, for example, for supporting a chest in a donned configuration. In some examples, the body support includes a first support panel having one or more first tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a second support panel having one or more second tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a connecting section, joining the first support panel to said second support panel in longitudinal spaced relationship along an imaginary longitudinal mid-line of the body support, the first tongue and the second tongue being on opposite transverse sides of a mid-line of the body support, a first fastener and a second fastener. The body support may further include a doffed configuration in which the first support panel and the second support panel are non-contiguous with respect to one another.
WEARABLE CARDIOVERTER DEFIBRILLATOR WITH BREAST SUPPORT
A supportive clothing article for a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD), including a belt, the belt including a first end with a first portion of a fastener and a second end with a second portion of the fastener, wherein the belt is structured to fasten around the torso of patient below the chest area of the patient, the belt including a first conductive mesh portion adjacent the first end of the belt or the second end of the belt, two straps, a back portion extending from the belt at an intermediary position on the belt to each of the two straps, the back portion including a conductive mesh, a first support receptacle attached to and extending from the belt and attachable to one of the two straps, and a second support receptacle attached to and extending from the belt and attachable to the other of the two straps.
PORTABLE APPARATUS FOR DECONTAMINATION OF A BREAST
A portable device for the decontamination of a breast. The aim of the device is to reduce the risk of mastitis, even when the patient has a medicament incompatibility. For this purpose, the invention includes a decontamination unit which decontaminates the breast at least by means of a physical method.
COMPLIANT BIOLOGICAL SCAFFOLD
A compliant scaffold incorporates a plurality of elongated apertures that form a geometric pattern enabling biaxial expansion or contraction. An elongated aperture has a pair of nodes located on opposing sides of the aperture and between a pair of antinodes located on the extended and opposing ends of the elongated aperture. A geometric pattern may have various geometric shapes, or tiles, between the plurality of apertures. The geometric tiles have a bounded perimeter formed by the plurality of elongated apertures. A substantial portion of the elongated apertures may be configured with the antinodes proximal to one of said pair of nodes of a separate elongated aperture; wherein the antinodes are closer to one of the pair of nodes than to any other antinode. This unique arrangement of the elongated apertures may be formed in biological material in vivo or ex vivo.
