Personal Temperature Regulation Device
A tubular collar adapted to be worn around the neck of an individual. The tubular collar has a front sheet and a rear sheet, each with tapered ends. A fastener is provided on opposite ends of the front and rear sheets. The tubular collar is configurable in an open configuration and a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the fasteners are attached to each other to affix the tapered ends together to form a loop sized to be placed around the neck of an individual. The tubular collar comprises an opening on the front sheet sized to receive ice or other cooling medium, or a heating medium, within an enclosed space of the tubular collar. By positioning the tubular collar around the neck, the weight of the cooling or heating medium is distributed across the neck and shoulders thereby providing comfort during motion such as during strenuous activities.
POWER CONDITIONER FOR HEATED WEARABLE GEAR
An article of clothing including a garment body and a heater coupled to the garment body. The article of clothing also includes a battery holder separate from the garment body and configured to receive a rechargeable power tool battery pack. The article of clothing also includes a controller selectively providing power from the rechargeable power tool battery pack to the heater, and a control input coupled to the garment body for selecting a mode of the controller. A power conditioner is coupled between the battery pack and the controller and is configured to regulate an output voltage of the battery pack to maintain a constant voltage regardless of the state of charge of the battery.
Body monitoring sensor system for use with articles of apparel of known CLO index to ensure comfort under exposed atmospheric conditions
A body monitoring sensor system is described and wherein a sensor module is attachable to a thermally insulated article of warmth, such as an article of apparel, having a thermal insulation of a known clo index value and wherein the sensor system has various sensors to produce various atmospheric and body condition signals to feed a computer having a processor. The processor is programmed to perform calculations to generate a output signals indicative of the corrective action required based on the protection offered by the clo index of the thermal insulation of the article of warmth and taking into account the calculated wind chill temperature and humidity as well as the wearer person's body temperature and humidity conditions to provide warmth and comfort to the user person under the actual atmospheric conditions.
WEARABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE
In accordance with the inventive concepts, provided is a wearable device for personal thermal comfort. The device can take the form of a wearable fan comprising a U-shaped housing including a first arm having a central first axis and a second arm having a central second axis connected by an intermediate curved member. The device includes a first fan assembly disposed at a distal end of the first arm, comprising a fan, at least one air inlet, and least one air outlet directed off-axis from the first axis. The device can further include a second fan assembly disposed at a distal end of the second arm, comprising a fan, at least one air inlet, and least one air outlet directed off-axis from the second axis. The device can include a rear plate for cooling and/or heating. The device, in some embodiments, can be structured to be worn around a neck.
JACKET
A jacket includes a main jacket body and an active heating system. The main jacket body is adapted for covering at least part of the body of a user, and has a neck section adapted to be disposed proximate to the neck of the user, a waist section adapted to be disposed proximate to the waist and lower back of the user, and at least one abdomen section adapted to be disposed proximate to the abdomen of the user. The active heating system is disposed in the main jacket body, is adapted for generating and transferring heat to the user, and includes at least three heating units. Each of the heating units is disposed in a respective one of the neck section, the waist section and the abdomen section of the main jacket body.
Garment, especially sports garment
A garment, especially to a sports garment, including a textile substrate which covers a part of the body of the wearer of the garment, wherein at least a section of the textile substrate is coated with at least two different Phase Change Materials, wherein a first Phase Change Material is arranged which has a phase transition temperature between 27° C. and 29° C., wherein a second Phase Change Material is arranged which has a phase transition temperature between 35° C. and 37° C., wherein both of the Phase Change Materials are in thermal contact with at least one thermochromic dye. By doing so, an improved thermal regulation during sporting activities is obtained which can be controlled visually.
