Tool for removing collars

A method comprises the steps of providing a tool over a collar secured to a stud on a gas turbine engine system. The collet is driven to rotate and remove the collar from the stud. A tool for removing collars from studs has a driver with a housing receiving a piston. A spring drives the piston, and the housing also has a hydraulic fluid supply opening for selectively receiving a hydraulic fluid to move the piston in opposition to a force from the spring. Collet fingers are movable between a released position and a secured position when a supply of hydraulic fluid is supplied into the housing.

TOOL HOLDER
20210229187 · 2021-07-29 ·

A tool holder for collet chucks, wherein a-a clamping rotor for applying an axial force to a collet chuck is provided. The clamping rotor, including the two axial bearings of the clamping rotor, are accommodated in a tool holder main part, which is connected to a collet chuck receiving body that receives the collet chuck. In order to captively support the clamping rotor in the main part, a bearing seat element is screwed into the main part, said bearing seat element delimiting a receiving chamber for the clamping rotor towards the collet chuck receiving element. Thus, the clamping rotor is enclosed and held in the main part independently of the collet chuck receiving body. This creates new possibilities for the maintenance and adaptation of the tool holder under different conditions, and in particular the force flow emanating from the clamping rotor during a clamping process is kept away from the collet chuck receiving body, thereby improving the precision of the tool holder.

Gripper Module
20210220926 · 2021-07-22 ·

The present disclosure provides a gripper module, including a base, an adapter holder, a collet holder, and an actuator. The base is adapted for an adapter to be detachably disposed thereon. The adapter holder is able to engage and to buckle the adapter. The collet holder is able to engage and to buckle a collet which is installed in the adapter. The actuator is connected to the collet holder. The actuator can pull the collet holder and the collet to move, causing pressing and retraction of the collet by the conical surface between the collet and the adapter. Therefore, sizes of collets may apply to the gripper module with the adapter. By sheathing the adapter, replacement and size alternation of the collets are made easier, and precisions of allocations of the collet and the gripped workpiece are improved.

A clamping device includes a first clamping segment which has a first mounting flange and a tubular member extending axially away therefrom. A first bore extends through the first mounting flange and the tubular member. The first mounting flange is configured for attachment to a rotatable spindle of a machine tool. The clamping device includes a draw bar assembly which has an axially extending elongate shaft. The elongate shaft extends through the first bore of the first clamping segment. A biasing unit is mounted on or in the tubular member. A locking member is removably secured to the elongate shaft such that the biasing unit is compressed between the locking member and a portion of the first clamping segment. The biasing member remains compressed when the first clamping segment is separated from the spindle of the machine tool.

LATHE
