Retention apparatus for portions of adjustable wrench

The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus for use with an adjustable wrench to limit the displacement of a broken portion of the adjustable wrench relative to the remaining parts of the adjustable wrench when the wrench fractures.

Dual-Sided Wrench Device
20240269816 · 2024-08-15 ·

A dual-sided wrench device is provided. The device is primarily comprised of a first wrench and a second wrench connected by a handle, and wherein each is preferably made of a metal material capable of withstanding large amounts of force and torque. The first wrench may be adjusted to fit around various fasteners such that they can be easily tightened or loosened. The second wrench may be adjusted to clamp and grip onto various pipe sizes such that they can easily be twisted, tightened, or loosened.

PIPE WRENCH

A wrench includes a body having a head and a handle portion defining a longitudinal axis. The wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head with the first jaw including first teeth and an edge. The edge defines a width of the first jaw. The wrench includes a second jaw extending through an aperture of the head with the second jaw including a threaded portion and second teeth. The wrench includes an actuator coupled to the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator relative to the second jaw moves the second teeth relative to the first teeth. A length is measured from the edge of the first jaw to the second end of the handle portion parallel to the longitudinal axis. A ratio of the width of the first jaw over the length is less than 0.06.

Pipe fitting assembly apparatus

An apparatus for assembling pipe fittings includes a base, an adjustable vice assembly and a pipe wrench turning unit. The adjustable vice assembly is mounted to the base and is operable for securely holding a first pipe fitting. A second pipe fitting is loosely threaded on to the first threaded pipe fitting. A pipe wrench engages the second pipe fitting. A motorized pipe wrench turning unit includes a drive shaft which rotates an offset member which, in turn, engages and turns the pipe wrench handle in order to screw the second pipe fitting on to the first pipe fitting. The apparatus for assembling pipe fittings may also be operated in a reverse fashion to disassemble pipe fitting sub-assemblies.

Ratchet wrench interface system

A right-angle socket for ratchet tools includes a hexagonal drive port adapted to receive interchangeable interface fittings, or adapters, which accept ratchet drives from various styles of ratchets. The interface fitting journals within and coaxial with the hexagonal drive port and is held in place by a keeper such as a spring ball. A coaxial port within the interface fitting accepts one type of conventional ratchet drive, such as a square drive, of selected size commonly available. Other interface fittings accept other types of ratchet drives, such as pass-through drives. The interface fitting may be inserted from either side of the socket and includes a circumferential groove that receives the keeper to hold the interface fitting axially affixed within the hexagonal port. Both single and double-sided interface fittings are provided, as well as swivel fittings.

Pipe wrench assembly

A pipe wrench assembly includes a pair of pipe grips. A handle has a front end and a rear end. A housing is attached to the front end of the handle and is attached to each of the pipe grips adjacent to the second ends such that one of the pipe grips includes a receiving opening facing in a first direction and another of the pipe grips includes a receiving opening facing in a second direction. A ratchet drive is mounted in the housing and is mechanically coupled to each of the pipe grips such that the housing is rotatable with respect to the pipe grips. The pipe grips are movable in a ratcheting movement opposite of each other.

Pivot Hammer Pipe Wrench Device

A pipe wrench pivot device is disclosed that is capable of pivoting for increased force. The pipe wrench pivot device comprises a handle component and attached head component that are configured in a conventional pipe wrench shape. The handle component comprises a pivot steel pin that can be locked and unlocked. The pin allows the device to unlock and pivot on the pin, thereby creating additional force when swung. The device is ideal for use in confined spaces and maximizes force and torque using inertia.

MULTI-TOOL DEVICE
20250229398 · 2025-07-17 ·

A multi-tool device is disclosed including a separable hinge architecture and an open-ended wrench mechanism. The open-ended wrench mechanism including a frame member with integrated or separate outer jaw, and a sliding and rotating inner jaw, and a spring to bias the jaws closed. Various means to arrest the motion on the stroke are presented. The hinge embodies two parallel rotational joints through positive or negative orifice allowing mechanical fastening of two multi-tool modules to be paired and locked rotationally through common means in selectable positions.

A wrench for rotating a hex head fastener has a frame having one or two jaw faces. If the frame has two faces, they form a 60 degree angle between them. A movable jaw has two faces forming an angle of about 120 degrees relative to each other. A guide connected to the frame controls movement of the movable jaw along a line forming an angle of about 40.9 degrees with respect to a position of one of the frame faces.
