MEDICAL GOWN
A medical gown has a front side extending to a back side which in combination forms a body covering which covers at least an upper portion of a medical personnel wearing color coded scrubs. The medical gown is made of an untinted, un-colored, clear, transparent, or translucent thermoplastic. Alternatively, the medical gown may include a clear or transparent window.

An isolation gown has enhanced neck and thorax coverage of gown material. Also, to improve the durability of the gown, improved waist ties are integral in the web that are engineered so that they will not tear as easily as conventional waist ties. In the conventional examples of a uniform circle or oval head shape cutout, the present gown web includes a flap of material, as a portion of the neck die cutout, that extends into the area inside that circle or inside that oval shape. This flap or neck shield provides an additional barrier area to the neck and upper thoracic regions of the user.
Protective Garment and Seam Tape Used Therewith
A protective garment is disclosed that is reusable and can be relaundered over 70 times. The garment is made from a single layer barrier fabric. Any seams on the protective fabric are covered with a seam tape. The seam tape can include an adhesive layer, a cover layer, and an optional film layer positioned between the cover layer and the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer can be a crosslinkable polyester polymer.
Method of producing an article comprising a rubber-like film-based article firmly fixed to a substrate
The present invention relates to a method including a rubber-like film-based article of which at least a portion is firmly fixed to a substrate. The method includes providing a film-based article made of a non-crosslinked thermoplastic rubber, contacting at least a portion of the film-based article with a substrate so as to form a contact area between the film-based article and the substrate, and heat sealing at least a portion of the contact area at a temperature of 190 to 250° C. for at least 1 second.

The present invention introduces a surgical gown tracking system and method to efficiently manage and distribute surgical gowns in healthcare facilities. The system includes RFID readers, surgical gowns, and RFID tags. The method for managing and distributing surgical gowns using the surgical gown tracking system of the present invention facilitates quality control and ensures the proper processing and decontamination of gowns, enabling their reuse.
Surgical Personal Protection Apparatus
A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system may include a head unit over which surgical garment such as a hood or a toga may be suspended over. The surgical garment may include a sterile material and a shield configured to be disposed in front of the wearers face when disposed over the head unit. The shield may comprise an anti-reflective coating configured to reduce the glare observed by the individual through said shield. The head unit may comprises a light assembly that is disposed on the wearers side of the surgical garment, and an inner surface of said surgical garment may comprise a light reflective material configured to reduce the amount of light emitted from said light assembly that is reflected back toward the individual.
