Rotatable Pipe Adapter
A pipe adapter includes a first tubular element having a first portion, a second portion axially adjacent the first portion, and a securing portion adjacent an end of the second portion opposite the first portion, the second portion defining a socket; a second tubular element having a first portion and a second portion axially adjacent the first portion, the first portion defining a distal end sized for insertion into the socket and having a radially extending stop; an annular sealing member. The securing portion is formed integrally with the second portion of the first tubular element and has a flange portion contacting the stop to secure the second tubular element axially relative to the first tubular element while also allowing the second tubular element to rotate relative to the first tubular element.
Electroweld fitting
An electroweld fitting is made of plastic material for welding plastic pipelines. The electroweld fitting has: a cylindrical body having a longitudinal axis; a heating wire winding; contacts configured to conduct an electric current; and a pipe stop. The pipe stop is arranged on an inner lateral surface of the cylindrical body. The pipe stop is flexible and resilient. The cylindrical body and the pipe stop arranged thereon are a one piece injection molded part. The heating wire winding is an embedded wire in the inner lateral surface of the cylindrical body.
ELECTROFUSION JOINT AND FUSION METHOD
The electrofusion joint includes a tubular main body, a stopper portion, a first heat generating section, and a second heat generating section. The tubular main body includes a joint receiving portion. The stopper portion projects inward on the inner surface of the main body. The first heat generating section includes a heating wire wound and arranged at the joint receiving portion. The second heat generating section includes a heating wire wound so that wound parts are adjacent to each other and the heating wire is disposed in the stopper portion. The first heat generating section includes at least one heat generating portion in which the heating wire is wound so that the wound parts are adjacent to each other.
Pipe, pipe connection and pipeline system
A pipeline system is enclosed including unlined or plastic lined pipes. A mechanical metal to metal connection is employed that can provide a fluid tight seal. A pipe coupling may be employed to span the connection. Plastic lined pipes can have their plastic liners connected to form a fluid tight bladder. Electro-fusion may be employed.
Metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, method for manufacturing same and pipeline produced using said pipe
The polymeric pipes reinforced with a metal casing are used for transporting oil and gas, acids, alkali products, drinking water and industrial water, and also in the transportation of aggressive and neutral pulps. A metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe includes a welded metal casing and a polymeric matrix having an amorphous-phase-based molecular structure. The metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe is produced by extrusion moulding with simultaneous feeding of a polymer melt and the reinforcing metal casing into the mould cavity, followed by intensive cooling of the internal and external surfaces of the pipe being moulded. The invention increases the quality and endurance limit in the radial direction of the metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, productivity of the process for manufacturing the pipe, and also the strength and technological effectiveness of a pipeline constructed from the pipes produced.
Modular fitting
A fitting (1) of weldable, thermoplastic material of a modular structure, comprising a number of elements (2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12), at least one main element (2, 9) and at least one connecting element (3, 10, 11, 12), characterized in that the elements (2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12) have end faces (4, 5) at right angles to the center axis (8), and the elements (2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12) are welded to one another exclusively at the end faces (4, 5).
Welding joint and welding method for same, welding device, welding joint, resin pipe welding device and welding method
A synthetic resin-made welding joint that has a pipe end portion into which an end portion of a synthetic resin-made tube is to be fitted and inserted, and that is configured so that the pipe end portion and the tube end portion which is fitted and inserted thereinto are enabled to be welded together by heating of heating means which externally surrounds the pipe end portion, therefore, a synthetic resin-made holder which is fitted and attached onto the pipe end portion is disposed, and a flange for ensuring a radial expansion gap with respect to the heating means is integrally formed in the holder.
Electrofusion joint
An electrofusion joint includes a main body and a heating wire. The main body is configured to be connected to a resin pipe containing a thermoplastic resin. The heating wire is in the main body. The heating wire includes a conducting wire and an insulating cover film that is around the conducting wire. The insulating cover film has a melting point of at least 230 degrees.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BONDING REINFORCED HDPE PIPES
A method of heat welding a length of pipe with a coupling is disclosed. The coupling and the length of pipe are of a thermoplastic material. The method includes preparing a first end of the length of pipe; preparing a first groove of the coupling, wherein the first groove is configured to mechanically interface to an inner diameter (ID) and outer diameter (OD) of the length of pipe; heating the first and the first groove to a weldable temperature; joining the first end to the first groove; and permitting the first end and the first groove to cool sufficiently long to form a thermoplastic weld.
Thermoplastic induction-welding systems
A flexible ferromagnetic strip is used to induction-weld seams in polymer pipes. The strip is a blend of strontium ferrite, a surfactant, and an LDPE binder. A process to produce the profile is to mix the ingredients together followed by granulation and extrusion or calendering. The strip is used in conjunction with an induction coil sized to fit over a polymer pipe coupling containing the strip and separate segments of polymer pipe. The strip is heated by induction current induced by an electromagnetic field generated by the coil. The heated strip causes the polymer pipe segments to be thermoplastically welded together.
