A fluid ejection device may include fluid actuators and an actuation controller. Each fluid actuator may have an associated address. The actuation controller is to receive an address for a fluid actuator of the device to be actuated and is further to automatically transmit one of different fire pulses based upon the received address.

The actuator is provided in each of the nozzles. The liquid supply unit communicates with the nozzles. When one of a plurality of nozzles is given attention, the drive control unit gives drive signals to actuators of nozzles adjacent in an X direction and a Y direction, to drive the actuators at a timing shifted by a predetermined amount, such as half of a drive period, from a timing of an actuator of the nozzle given attention.

According to one embodiment, a liquid ejection device includes a nozzle plate, an actuator, a liquid supply unit, a waveform generation circuit, a waveform allocation circuit, and a drive signal output circuit. A plurality of nozzles for ejecting liquid is arranged in the nozzle plate. The actuator is provided in each of the nozzles. The waveform generation circuit generates plural kinds of drive waveforms with different generation start timings. The waveform allocation circuit can set the drive waveform among plural kinds of drive waveforms and the actuator of the nozzle to be allocated. The drive signal output circuit drives the actuator with the allocated drive waveform.

Priority order is updated so that an ejection port that is selected as an ejection port subjected to ejection failure determination in a pixel row in which a previous ejection operation is to be performed has the lowest priority order, which is used for selecting an ejection port subjected to ejection failure determination, in a pixel row in which a subsequent ejection operation is to be performed.

Temperature detection and control

A print component integrated circuitry package includes a number of temperature sensors where each of the plurality of the temperature sensors is disposed in a corresponding temperature region of an integrated circuitry. In an example, an analog sense bus conductively connects to all of the plurality of temperature sensors and an external sensor pad that is to connect to a corresponding print controller contact.

The digital circuit outputs a digital signal to the interface. The analog circuit outputs an analog signal to the interface. The control logic activates the digital circuit or the analog circuit.
