Printing apparatus and recovery method therefor
A printing apparatus according to an embodiment of this present invention includes a printhead with an orifice for discharging ink, and a recovery unit configured to perform recovery of the printhead by driving a print element of the printhead to discharge ink from the orifice. The apparatus makes a setting for a request for discharge recovery by the recovery unit after initialization processing performed upon power-on of the printing apparatus, and controls the recovery unit to execute one of first discharge recovery and second discharge recovery in which an ink discharge amount is smaller than in the first discharge recovery in accordance with the setting before a start of printing by the printhead.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND DRIVE WAVEFORM GENERATION METHOD
A liquid discharge apparatus is configure to drive nozzles with drive waveforms with which timing of discharge pulses fall within a range where a condition |A−C|<|B−D| is satisfied, where “A” is a discharge velocity of a droplet having a first size when drive units are driven to discharge a droplet having the first size, “B” is a discharge velocity of a droplet having a second size larger than the first size when drive units are driven to discharge a droplet having the second size, “C” is a discharge velocity of a droplet having the first size when drive units are driven to discharge droplets having the first size and the second size, and “D” is a discharge velocity of a droplet having the second size when drive units are driven to discharge droplets having the second size and the first size.
DROPLET DISCHARGING DEVICE
A droplet discharging device includes a head including a nozzle configured to discharge a droplet onto a medium, a heater configured to heat, the medium onto which the droplet is discharged from the head, at a position opposing to the head, an air blowing fan configured to blow outside air from an outside toward an inside of a housing that accommodates the head and the heater, a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the outside air blown by the air blowing fan, and a control unit, and when the temperature of the outside air detected by the temperature sensor is lower than a preset temperature, the control unit changes a set temperature of the heater to a temperature lower than a predetermined temperature.
PRINTHEAD CONTROLLERS
There is disclosed a printhead control method, printhead controller and printer. The method may comprise determining whether ink drop variability is likely to occur based on a first time period in which a printhead is uncovered during a print action but before printing begins, and a second time period that is a minimum period for ink drop variability to occur when the printhead is uncovered. The method may further comprise setting a printhead firing frequency for the print action based on the determination.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR THE FABRICATION OF TISSUE
Described herein are bioprinters comprising: one or more printer heads, wherein a printer head comprises a means for receiving and holding at least one cartridge, and wherein said cartridge comprises contents selected from one or more of: bio-ink and support material; a means for calibrating the position of at least one cartridge; and a means for dispensing the contents of at least one cartridge. Further described herein are methods for fabricating a tissue construct, comprising: a computer module receiving input of a visual representation of a desired tissue construct; a computer module generating a series of commands, wherein the commands are based on the visual representation and are readable by a bioprinter; a computer module providing the series of commands to a bioprinter; and the bioprinter depositing bio-ink and support material according to the commands to form a construct with a defined geometry.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a print head provided with a discharge port that discharges liquid and a pressure chamber filled with the liquid to be discharged from the discharge port, and configured to perform a printing operation by discharging the liquid from the discharge port based on print data, includes a circulation unit that performs circulation of the liquid in a circulation passage including the pressure chamber in a state where the printing operation is performed, and includes a control unit that controls the circulation unit to continue the circulation for a predetermined time after the printing operation is completed.

Printer, control method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium
A printer includes a head, a lamp, a first sensor, and a processor. The head is configured to eject photocurable ink onto the object to be printed supported by a platen. The lamp is configured to irradiate light onto the object to be printed on which the ink is ejected. The first sensor is provided inside the printer, and is configured to detect a temperature inside the printer. The processor causes the first sensor to acquire the temperature inside the printer. The processor acquires, based on the print data, a duty ratio indicating a printing ratio when ejecting the ink onto an ejection region of the object to be printed. The processor sets an illuminance of the light irradiated by the lamp, based on the temperature acquired by the first sensor and the acquired duty ratio.
