Fluidic die with surface condition monitoring
One example provides a fluidic die including a nozzle layer disposed on a substrate, the nozzle layer having an upper surface opposite the substrate and including a plurality of nozzles formed therein, each nozzle including a fluid chamber and a nozzle orifice extending through the nozzle layer from the upper surface to the fluid chamber. A conductive trace is exposed to the upper surface of the nozzle layer and extends proximate to a portion of the nozzle orifices, an impedance of the conductive trace indicative of a surface condition of the upper surface of the nozzle layer.
Die for a printhead
A die for a printhead is provided in examples. The die includes a number of fluidic actuator arrays. A data block is associated with each of the plurality of fluidic actuator arrays. The die includes an interface comprising a data pad and a clock pad, wherein a data bit value present at the data pad is loaded into a first data block corresponding to a first fluidic actuator array on a rising clock edge and loaded into a second data block corresponding to a second fluidic actuator array on a falling clock edge.
Information processing device and information processing method
An information processing device includes a storage portion storing a learned model trained by machine learning based on a data set in which temperature information, setting information, and countermeasure information are associated, a reception portion receiving the temperature information and the setting information at a time of ejecting ink by the printing head, and a processing portion deciding a countermeasure to be executed for condensation based on the received temperature information and setting information and the learned model.
Print head
A print head having an ejection portion that ejects a liquid includes a determination portion that executes a first determination process of determining whether or not a first error occurs in which replacement of the print head or replacement of a hardware coupled to the print head is required and a second determination process of determining whether or not a second error occurs in which neither the replacement of the print head nor the replacement of the hardware coupled to the print head is required, and a light emitting portion that emits light according to a result of determination in the determination portion.
LIQUID DISCHARGE HEAD UNIT AND LIQUID DISCHARGE DEVICE
A distance between the first circuit and the second circuit is a first distance, a distance between the first circuit and the temperature detection circuit is a second distance longer than the first distance, and a distance between the second circuit and the temperature detection circuit is a third distance longer than the first distance.
Liquid circulation device and liquid discharge apparatus
A liquid circulation device includes a liquid chamber that stores a liquid that is to be supplied to a liquid discharge head. A pipeline through which the liquid can be circulated between the liquid chamber and the liquid discharge head is provided. A heater heats the liquid circulating in the pipeline. A first temperature sensor measures the temperature of the heater, and a second temperature sensor measures the temperature of the liquid in the pipeline. A controller controls the heating of the heater based on the liquid temperature measured by the second temperature sensor. The controller also monitors a change in the measured temperature of the heater over time and turns off the heating of the heater when the monitored change satisfies a predetermined stop condition.
Printing position adjustment method and storage medium
Misalignment of printing positions between print heads associated with thermal expansion is reduced without increasing a data processing load. To this end, printing element substrates in a reference head and an adjustment target head are adjusted to a target temperature, and a liquid is circulated through the print element substrates. After thermal expansion of the reference head and the adjustment target head reaches a steady state, a first printing region being a printing region of the reference head and a second printing region being a printing region of the adjustment target head in a longitudinal direction are obtained from an image printed by using all printing elements. Then, used regions to be used for actual printing are set among the printing elements arranged on the reference head and the adjustment target head based on the first printing region and the second printing region.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A recording apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head including a heating element, a first protection layer that blocks contact between the heating element and liquid, a second protection layer that covers at least a portion of the first protection layer to be heated by the heating element and that functions as a first electrode, a second electrode that is electrically connected to the first electrode through the liquid, an ejection port that ejects the liquid, and a temperature detection element that corresponds to the heating element, and a detection unit configured to detect a feature point in a temperature curve that indicates a relationship between time and temperature, in which a combination of a potential set for the first electrode and a potential set for the second electrode in a case where printing is performed varies from that in a case where the detection unit detects the feature point.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
There is provided a liquid discharge apparatus for forming an image on a medium by discharging a liquid, including: a first discharge head that discharges a liquid; and a first temperature indicating section provided in the first surface, in which the first temperature indicating section indicates that a temperature of the first temperature indicating section is lower than a first threshold value in a first state, and indicates that the temperature of the first temperature indicating section is equal to or higher than the first threshold value in a second state, and the first state and the second state change reversibly, and at least a part of the first temperature indicating section overlaps at least a part of the first propagation wiring in a normal direction of the wiring substrate.
Printing apparatus and control method therefor
A method for inspecting an ink discharge status based on a temperature change of an energy generating element includes calculating a difference value between a value obtained by statistics of information indicating ink discharge statuses obtained for a plurality of nozzles close to a target nozzle and the information obtained for the target nozzle; comparing the calculated difference value with a predetermined threshold; and judging the ink discharge status for the target nozzle based on a result of the comparison. This enables to appropriately detect a nozzle which is in a discharge failure status due to an ink droplet adhered to a discharge surface of a printhead or the like.
