PRINTHEAD
Printheads and techniques for manufacturing printheads are disclosed. An example method includes forming drive circuit components in a circuit layer. The method also includes forming a fluidic device that causes fluid to be ejected from a nozzle. The method also includes forming an interconnect layer that couples the drive circuit components.
CONTROLLING A FLUID FIRING UNIT OF A PRINTHEAD
In some examples, a method includes, in response to a fluid firing unit being operated according to a normal printing mode, applying a first voltage to the fluid firing unit to fire the fluid firing unit during a printing operation. The method further includes determining, using a sensor, whether a predetermined condition is met, and in response to determining that the predetermined condition is met, operating the fluid firing unit according to a recovery mode in which a second voltage higher than the first voltage is applied to the fluid firing unit to clean the fluid firing unit.
Voltage drop compensation for inkjet printhead
A drop ejector array device includes a first plurality and a second plurality of drop ejectors that are alternatingly disposed along an array direction on the substrate surface. A voltage input terminal and a current return terminal are disposed on the substrate surface. A first power bus line connects the first plurality to the voltage input terminal. A second power bus line connects the second plurality to the voltage input terminal. The second power bus line is electrically connected to the first power bus line by a primary power bus connector line. A first current return bus line connects the first plurality to the current return terminal. A second current return bus line connects the second plurality to the current return terminal. The second current return bus line is electrically connected to the first current return bus line by a primary current return bus connector line.
Recording element substrate, liquid ejection head and recording apparatus
A recording element substrate for a liquid ejection head is provided with a storage section including an antifuse element and a first resistor connected in parallel with the antifuse element, and a second resistor that is connected in parallel with the storage section and serves as a reference in rating information of the antifuse element, and a second switch connected to the second resistor.
Printing apparatus and driving control method for printhead
In a printing apparatus including a printhead and a print control unit, wherein the printhead includes two nozzle arrays, each arranged in a first direction and including nozzles arranged along a second direction, the print control unit performs a first operation of expanding print data onto a memory, a second operation of selecting, for each nozzle array, some of the nozzles as non-driving nozzles and the remaining nozzles as driving nozzles, and a third operation of distributing the expanded print data to the two nozzle arrays such that dots corresponding to the non-driving nozzles of one nozzle array are printed by the driving nozzles of the other nozzle array.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRECISION INKJET PRINTING
Systems and methods for precision inkjet printing are disclosed. A method determining an actuation parameter associated with a pressure waveform. Based on the pressure waveform, the method also includes actuating a print head to eject a droplet from a nozzle and acquiring an image of the droplet. The method further includes processing the acquired image to estimate a volume of the droplet and based on the estimated volume of the droplet and a target volume, adjusting the acquisition parameter.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND INKJET PRINTING METHOD
Ink is circulated through a circulation flow path between a print head and an ink tank. Detection operation for detecting an ink ejection state in an ejection opening in the print head is performed. The ink circulation and the detection operation are simultaneously performed by performing the detection operation in response to a start of the ink circulation.
ZONAL FIRING SIGNAL ADJUSTMENTS
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described. The fluidic die includes a number of zones. Each zone includes a number of sets of fluidic devices. Each fluidic device includes a fluid chamber and a fluid actuator disposed in the chamber. Each fluidic device also includes a sensor to sense a characteristic of the zone and an adjustment device. The adjustment device 1) delays a firing signal received from a previous zone as it passes by each set of fluidic devices and 2) adjusts the firing signal as it enters the zone based on a sensed characteristic.
DRIVE CIRCUIT OF RECORDING HEAD AND IMAGE RECORDER
A drive circuit of a recording head having a recording element is provided. The drive circuit supplies a load element for recording operation of the recording element with an output signal of electric power according to operation of the load element. The drive circuit includes a voltage amplifier that amplifies a voltage of an analog drive waveform signal for operation of the recording element to generate a drive voltage signal. The voltage amplifier includes amplifiers. Among the amplifiers, at least one of subsequent-stage amplifiers which are a second and subsequent amplifiers from an upstream side includes a signal feedback unit that returns a signal to be output to an input side of the subsequent-stage amplifiers.
PRINTING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to print an image on a print medium, an acquiring unit configured to acquire temperature information of the printing unit, and a control unit configured to control the printing unit so as to start relative scanning in a case where a temperature that is indicated by the temperature information has reached a print permission temperature. The print permission temperature in a first print mode whose speed at a time of a constant speed in relative scanning is a first speed is a first temperature. The print permission temperature in a second print mode whose speed at the time of the constant speed is a second speed that is faster than the first speed is a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature.
