INKJET HEAD AND INKJET PRINTER
An inkjet head includes a head unit, a storage unit, an identification circuit, and a driving control circuit. The head unit ejects ink. The storage unit stores print data. The identification circuit identifies a type of a head unit. The driving control circuit transmits the print data in an order corresponding to a type of the head unit which is identified by the identification circuit.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS, LIQUID DISCHARGING APPARATUS, AND DEVICE DRIVER
A method for manufacturing a liquid discharging apparatus having a liquid discharging head that is attached to an apparatus main body so as to be capable of being attached or detached and that discharges a liquid from a nozzle includes: identifying an alignment shift of the liquid discharging head attached to the apparatus main body; and identifying correction information that is correlated with the alignment shift identified in the identifying of the alignment shift based on a correction information table in which the correction information related to liquid discharge control and the alignment shift are correlated with each other.
Woodgrain suppression in inkjet printing
The present embodiments relate to a printing apparatus capable of mitigating/preventing instances of turbulent deviation of ink jetted from print heads when printing onto a substrate, a severe form of which looks like woodgrain. The printing apparatus can include a jet plate that has a first width and that is disposed between the substrate and a series of print heads. The jet plate can also include a series of apertures formed in the jet plate that each correspond to one or more of the print heads, as well as a cutout portion at a first end of the jet plate that has a second width less than the first width.
System and method for print head alignment using alignment adapter
Systems and methods for pre-aligning print head(s) to alignment adapter(s) to increase print resolution of printed matter, and to reduce offline time of a printing system due to print head alignment, include the use of an alignment adapter to which a print head is pre-aligned and which includes precision alignment features which precisely engage cooperating precision alignment features on the print head carriage mounting plate of the print head carriage. Print head(s) can be pre-aligned and fine-tuned to alignment adapter(s) even while the printing system is still in print production. Pre-aligned print head/alignment adapter assemblies can then be quickly mounted on the print head carriage using the cooperating precision alignment features of the adapter and print head carriage mounting plate. Duplicate sets of print head mounting sockets can include print heads aligned at different relative offsets (e.g., half a pixel) to increase the print resolution.
Distance measuring device, image forming apparatus, and distance measuring method
A distance measuring device includes: an imaging unit that captures a test pattern image including a pair of first markers and a second marker that is formed under a condition different from a condition applied to the first markers; a position detecting unit that detects a position of each of the pair of first markers and the second marker in a captured image captured by the imaging unit; a ratio calculating unit that calculates a ratio of a distance between the pair of the first markers in the captured image and an actual distance between the pair of the first markers; and an actual distance calculating unit that calculates an actual distance between one of the first markers as the pair and the second marker by multiplying a distance between the one of the first markers as the pair and the second marker in the captured image by the ratio.
INKJET PRINTING MACHINE
An inkjet printing machine includes a controller and performs margin-less printing on a base material on the basis of image data having a size larger than that of the base material by discharging ink from an inkjet head while relatively moving the base material and the inkjet head for one cycle of reciprocation or more in a main-scanning direction. On the basis of the image data, the controller controls the inkjet head to stop discharging ink, when the inkjet head is moved from the outside toward an end of the base material. The controller controls, when the inkjet head is moved from the inside toward the end of the base material, the inkjet head to discharge ink to complement an image in a section where the inkjet head stops discharging ink.
PRINTING METHOD AND PRINTING DEVICE
A printing method of printing a background and an image on a medium includes a background printing step of printing a background on the medium by discharging background ink, and an image printing step of being performed in parallel with the background printing step and printing an image on the medium by discharging image ink. A non-printing area, where the background ink and the image ink are not discharged to a boundary between the background and the image, is provided in the background printing step and the image printing step.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ALLOCATING POWER CIRCUITS IN THE PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes first and second actuators for exerting force to liquid, the number of the second actuators being smaller than the number of the first actuators; a switching circuit; first, second and third power circuits for applying voltages to the first and second actuators; and a controller for controlling driving of the first and second actuators. The controller is configured to control the switching circuit to electrically connect the first power circuit and some of the first actuators, electrically connect the second power circuit to the other of the first actuators and electrically connect the third power circuit to the second actuators, based on the number of the first actuators and the number of the second actuators.
CONTROL CIRCUIT, INK-JET HEAD SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD
A control circuit includes a memory interface and a power interface. The control circuit is configured to: read out identifiers and voltage values from a memory via the memory interface, the memory storing the identifiers and the voltage values associated with the identifiers, the identifiers identifying actuators for jetting liquid, the voltage values corresponding to values of voltages to be supplied to the actuators; based on the voltage values, associate each of the identifiers with one of power circuits; detect whether failure occurs in any of the power circuits via the power interface communicated with the power circuits each changeable in output voltage; and based on detection of the failure occurring in any power circuits, associate specified identifiers with a non-failure power circuit in which the failure does not occur, the specified identifiers associated with a failure power circuit in which the failure is detected.
PRINTING APPARATUS, PRINTING METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
A printing apparatus includes a first nozzle which ejects first ink containing a black coloring material, a second nozzle which ejects second ink with a low content rate of the coloring material compared to the first ink, and a control unit which controls ejecting of the ink from the first and second nozzles, in which, in a case of printing a darkest point, the control unit causes the second ink to be ejected after causing the first ink to be ejected, and causes the second ink to be ejected from the second nozzle so that a use rate of the second ink becomes 1% or more and 15% or less, when causing the second ink to be ejected.
