Breathable coated and perforated gloves
A protective glove including a knit fabric hand shell having a cuff portion and a hand portion that includes a back side opposite a palm side for covering opposing sides of a user's hand. A polymeric coating covers the palm side of the hand portion and has a thickness that gradually diminishes from the palm side to the back side of the hand portion. The back side of the hand portion has an area that is free of the polymeric coating to provide ventilation to the user's hand through the knit fabric hand shell. A plurality of perforations is uniformly dispersed over the palm side of the hand portion. The perforations have a diameter less than 0.2 mm and extend though the polymeric coating to provide ventilation to the user's hand and to increase a coefficient of friction for an exterior surface of the polymeric coating.
UTILITY GLOVE
A utility glove formed of a glove blank of a fabric material in the shape of at least a portion of a hand having one or more areas of elastomeric material injection molded thereon to form one or more three dimensional molded portions, the three dimensional molded portions being the fabric material with the elastomeric material bonded thereto, wherein one or more three dimensional molded portions leave at least one area of fabric material of the glove blank without elastomeric material bonded to the fabric. The fabric material of the glove blank can be made from one or more fabrics, a treated fabric, a coated fabric or combinations thereof, or the fabric may have a portion with a coating on an area without elastomeric material.
LINESMAN'S GLOVE
A linesman's outer glove (14) includes a hand portion (30) configured to cover a hand portion of a linesman's inner glove (12). The outer glove (14) also includes a cut resistant layer (100) positioned inside the hand portion (30) and covering the palm portion (42), the back hand portion (40), and the finger portions (44). The outer glove (14) further includes at least one pad (50) secured to at least one of the palm portion (42) and finger portions (44). The at least one pad (50) includes a substrate (60) and at least one flame resistant polymer rib (62) disposed on the substrate. The at least one rib (62) is configured to improve the gripping performance of the outer glove (14).
PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR USE WITH A GLOVE
A protective device for use in a high temperature and liquid environment provides a glove integrally formed with a protective member in the thumb webbing region. The protective member is not readily detectable when viewing the outside of the glove. The protective member is cut resistant and constructed to protect a workman's hand as a sharp and hot object passes over the protective member contacting the outer surface of the glove.
METHOD FOR PREPARING HIGHLY CUT-RESISTANT ULTRAHIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE (UHMWPE) FIBER AND USE THEREOF
The present invention discloses a highly cut-resistant ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber, made of a ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene and an inorganic ultrafine micropowder having a nanocrystalline structural morphology, wherein the inorganic ultrafine micropowder is one of an oxide, carbide, and nitride of aluminium, titanium, silicon, boron, and zirconium, or a combination thereof, and has an average diameter of 0.1-300 m and a content of 0.1-14% of the total weight of the fiber. The present invention further discloses a method for preparing a highly cut-resistant ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber, comprising: adding nanocrystalline silicon carbide particles to a solvent, and repeatedly grinding by a sand mill; adding a ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene, and the silicon carbide nanoparticles to a solvent, and mixing until uniform by stirring by a homogenizer with high shear, to obtain a spinning solution; and subjecting the spinning solution to conventional gelation spinning, and extracting and hot drawing the gel filament spun, to obtain a composite fiber. In the present invention, by introducing the nanocrystalline ultrafine particles into the ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber, the composite fiber of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene/nanocrystalline ultrafine particles has a quite excellent cut-resistant performance.
CUT, ABRASION AND/OR PUNCTURE RESISTANT KNITTED GLOVES
An improved protective knitted glove assembly includes a knitted glove and two or more non-coplanar arrays of printed guard plates. The guard plates are small, regularly-spaced, generally uniform thickness, non-overlapping, hard polymer material members arranged in a predetermined pattern having an area parallel to a surface of the glove with major and minor dimensions. The major dimension to minor dimension aspect ratio of the guard plates is between about 3 and 1. The overall abrasion resistance of the glove assembly is substantially greater than an abrasion resistance of the knitted glove without the guard plates.
GLOVES HAVING REINFORCEMENTS AND IMPACT FEATURES
Gloves comprising a polymeric coating or layer, optionally including a fabric liner, and at least one reinforcement, disposed on a part(s) of the polymeric coating or layer and/or ac part(s) of the fabric liner, and methods of making the gloves are disclosed.
Cut resistant ply-twisted yarns and fabrics made thereof
The present invention provides a multi-ply twisted yarn for a cut-resistant fabric, and the multi-ply twisted yarn comprises (i) at least a first single yarn having a skin-core structure, wherein the skin comprises aromatic polyamide staple fibers and the core comprises tungsten filaments, and (ii) at least a second single yarn having a skin-core structure, wherein the skin comprises cut-resistant staple fibers, the core comprises at least an elastomer filament, and the cut-resistant staple fibers of the second single yarn are selected from one or more of aromatic polyamide staple fibers, aliphatic polyamide staple fibers and polyethylene staple fibers. The present invention further provides a cut-resistant fabric comprising the multi-ply twisted yarn and a protective product comprising the cut-resistant fabric.
Fast Rope Glove
The fast rope gloves include weighted slugs sewn into or bonded to the distal ends of each digit sleeve to assist in doffing the glove. The slugs are sewn to the back of the digit sleeves overlying the wearer's thumb nail or finger nails. The weights allow the user to fling the gloves off the hands by swinging the arms downward in a rapid movement.
Protective sleeve for a medical device
Protective sleeve for a medical device having a moveable joint including a tubular assembly comprising a flexible material that satisfies International Organization for Standardization ISO13997 (1999) for a cut resistance of at least ISO level 5. The tubular assembly has a first end portion, a second end portion, and a length extending therebetween. The tubular assembly includes a base member made of the flexible material having an internal surface and an external surface and a reinforcing member made of the flexible material coupled to the base member along the internal surface and the external surface of the base member. The reinforcing member forms a channel at the first end portion. The tubular assembly has an internal cross dimension sized to receive a medical device having a moveable joint therein. The protective sleeve further includes an adjustment member received in the channel to radially adjust the first end portion.
