A disclosed method for manufacturing a glove includes forming a base via molding, the base being shaped to include a palm portion and one or more extremity portions. The method also includes forming a top skin via molding, the top skin including one or more compartments, and forming a backhand assembly by attaching one or more edges of the one or more compartments of the top skin to the base. At least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments is unattached from the base. The method also includes reversing an orientation of the backhand assembly, filling each of the one or more compartments of the top skin with foam, and attaching the at least one remaining edge of each of the one or more compartments to the base.

Sports glove

A sports glove includes a wrist portion defining an opening, a palm portion having a palm side and a backside, a thumb stall and a plurality of finger stalls extending from the palm portion. The palm side comprises a fabric layer bordering an interior of the glove, and a resilient polymer layer on an outer surface of the fabric layer. At least first and second grooves are formed into the polymer layer. The finger stalls include an index finger stall, a middle stall, a ring finger stall and a pinky stall. The first groove forms a thumb base bending line extending from at or adjacent to the opening along the palm portion to a juncture of the thumb stall and the index finger stall. The second groove forms an upper mid-palm bending line extending across the palm portion adjacent at least the pinky finger stall and the ring finger stall.

A glove that is adaptable to conform to hands of various sizes is presented. The glove includes one or more stretchable gussets and an edge panel that connect a back-side to a palm-side of the glove. A thenar panel on the palm-side is coupled to portions of the one or more gussets and to portions of the edge panel. The one or more gussets are also attached to a wrist panel that includes a closure element on the back-side of the glove. A finger panel on the back-side of the glove is coupled to portions of the one or more gussets and to portions of the edge panel. A palm section on the palm side and a back section on the back-side include one or more stretch materials that improve the fit of the glove.

An anti-microbial glove is presented that includes a palm side and a back-side joined to the palm-side. A thenar panel on the palm-side extends into an index finger part, a middle finger part, a ring finger part, and a pinky finger part. A thumb panel on the palm-side extends into a thumb part. A wrist panel is attached to a first portion of the thumb panel and to a first portion of the thenar panel on the palm-side, at least a section of the wrist panel being attached to the back-side of the glove. A gusset joins the palm-side to the back-side. Anti-microbial materials are disposed on the palm-side and the back-side preventing the spreading and collection of microogranisms and/or viruses on the palm-side and back-side.

DORSAL PROTECTION FOR GLOVES

An impact damper for a glove comprises a solid convex element formed from a resilient material. The convex element has a zenith cavity formed at its zenith. Upon an impact on the convex element, the zenith cavity enables resilient outward deformation of the convex element, and the resilient outward deformation dissipates energy from the impact. The impact damper may further comprise an outwardly deformable wall formed from a resilient material, with the wall circumferentially surrounding and spaced from the convex element. Upon an impact on the convex element, the convex element engages the wall as the convex element deforms, and resilient outward deformation of the wall under urging from the deforming convex element further dissipates the energy from the impact.
