Ink refill container and ink refill system
An ink refill container configured to refill an ink tank with ink and an ink refill system. An ink refill container includes a container main body having an ink chamber; an ink outlet forming portion provided at an edge of the container main body including an ink outlet configured to allow ink to flow out from the ink chamber; a valve provided in ink outlet forming portion and configured to seal the ink outlet in an openable and closable manner; and a positioning structure configured to abut on part of the ink tank and position the valve relative to ink tank when valve is opened. The positioning structure has a positioning surface located on an opposite side to a container main body side where the container main body is located, across the valve and extends in a direction intersecting with a center axis of the ink outlet.
Liquid ejection apparatus and liquid refill container
A liquid ejection apparatus includes: a liquid ejection head configured to eject liquid; a liquid storage container including a storage portion configured to store liquid to be supplied to the liquid ejection head, an opening configured to supply liquid from a liquid refill container to the storage portion, and a cover member configured to be in a first state to cover the opening and a second state to expose the opening; and a regulation unit configured to regulate transition from the first state to the second state of the cover member. Regulating by the regulation unit is released when a first portion, of the liquid refill container, configured to prevent misfilling the storage portion with an incorrect liquid, is fitted into a second portion of the liquid ejection apparatus.
REFILL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A fluid supply device includes a variable fluid volume to contain a supply of fluid and a variable gas volume to receive pressurized gas to pressurize the supply of fluid. A method of monitoring the fluid supply device may include controlling a gas pressure of the pressurized gas to feed the fluid from the fluid volume, the gas pressure varying in a plurality of pressurization cycles; monitoring a parameter of the pressurization cycles; and determining a change in fill state of the fluid volume as a function of the monitored parameter.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
A printing apparatus includes a tank configured to contain liquid to be supplied to a print head performing a printing operation by ejecting the liquid, a flow channel configured to supply the liquid from the tank to the print head, a power supply unit configured to receive electric power and supply the electric power to the printing apparatus, and a closing mechanism configured to close the flow channel in response to stoppage of electric power supply to the power supply unit.
CARTRIDGE AND PRINTING SYSTEM
A cartridge includes a liquid container and an adaptor. The liquid container has a liquid storage containing a liquid to be supplied to a printing apparatus, a liquid supply section configured to supply the liquid contained in the liquid storage to a liquid introduction section, and an adaptor mounting section. The adaptor is mounted on the adaptor mounting section and has a terminal placement section in which a cartridge-side terminal electrically connected to an apparatus-side terminal is disposed and an insertion aperture through which the liquid introduction section passes. The adaptor mounting section is provided with a mounting mechanism for mounting the adaptor, which has a predetermined constant shape.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS AND INK-JET RECORDING METHOD TO DETERMINE INK AMOUNT USING BAR CODE
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording unit, a scanning unit, an acquisition unit, and a determination unit. In the recording unit, a plurality of nozzles to apply ink is arrayed. The scanning unit is configured to perform relative scanning with the recording unit on a recording medium. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire input image data that includes a bar code including a plurality of black bars and a plurality of white bars and having a length in a first direction that is greater than a length in a second direction crossing the first direction. The determination unit is configured to determine, based on lengths of the plurality of white bars in the second direction, an amount of ink to be applied to a black bar adjacent to a corresponding white bar in the second direction.
Unattended reservoir refillings
A method for filling a reservoir of a printing device that includes conducting an unattended refill process of an internal reservoir in response to a detection of a fluid supply unit. In an example, the supply dock fluidically, electrically, and mechanically couples to the fluid supply unit to the printing device.
Printing apparatus and liquid storage member
The printing apparatus of the present invention includes: a print head; and a liquid storage container in which a liquid storage chamber that stores a liquid to be supplied to the print head, an atmosphere communication chamber that communicates with the atmosphere, and a communication flow path that causes the liquid storage chamber and the atmosphere communication chamber to communicate are formed integrally. The liquid storage container can take a first posture in which the atmosphere communication chamber is located under the liquid storage chamber in the direction of gravity and a second posture in which the atmosphere communication chamber and the liquid storage chamber are located side by side in the horizontal direction. In the case where the liquid storage container is in the second posture, the liquid injection portion and the communication flow path are located on the upper side of the liquid storage container.
Pressure adjustment unit, liquid ejecting head, and liquid ejecting apparatus
A pressure adjustment unit includes a valve body including a base end portion, a shaft portion protruding in a first-direction from the base end portion, and an elastic member, and a casing that has a partition wall formed with a through hole into which the shaft portion is inserted, and a first-wall protruding in a second-direction opposite to the first-direction to define the first-chamber. On a first-chamber side of the partition wall, a valve seat, which is annular, is provided around the through hole to block a flow path by contacting with the elastic member, an outer periphery of the base end portion has a positioning region, and a distance between a first-direction-side end portion of the positioning region and a first-direction-side distal end of the shaft portion is shorter than a distance between the valve seat and a second-direction-side end portion of the first-wall.
Liquid ejecting head and liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting head configured to eject a liquid in a first direction includes an upper surface facing a direction opposite to the first direction, and a gripping portion provided on the upper surface to grip the liquid ejecting head.
