The present invention provides a tire pressure sensor, including a housing, a PCBA installed within the housing, a power supply device installed within the housing and electrically connected to the PCBA, and an antenna connected to the PCBA. The antenna is wrapped around the PCBA, and at least one turn of the antenna is wrapped around the PCBA. An effective space of the antenna may be particularly enlarged by wrapping the antenna around the PCBA, thereby improving efficiency of the antenna, increasing a signal transmitting distance of the antenna, and enhancing signal transmission stability and anti-interference capability of the antenna, so that an automobile receiver can stably receive, in real time, information such as internal pressure and a temperature of the tire detected by the PCBA, better implementing real-time monitoring of the air pressure, the temperature, and the like within the tire.

Reader system for tire with an integrated RFID and TPMS sensor

A reader system for a tire with an integrated radio frequency identification (RFID) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor, in which the integrated RFID and TPMS sensor is mounted on the tire, is provided. The reader system includes at least one antenna that is external to the tire. The at least one antenna is mounted on a vehicle on which the tire is mounted in a location proximate the tire. The at least one antenna is in electronic communication with the integrated RFID and TPMS sensor. A reader is mounted on the vehicle and is also in electronic communication with the at least one antenna. The at least one antenna relays a signal from the integrated RFID and TPMS sensor to the reader. A display device is in electronic communication with the reader to receive and display data from the integrated RFID and TPMS sensor.

A tire monitor includes a sensor generating tire data and a plurality of control modules having phase locked loop circuits. The control modules generate output signals carrying the tire data. A first of the control modules is configured to generate first output signals having a first frequency and according to a first protocol. A second of the control modules is configured to generate second output signals having a second frequency and according to a second protocol. In examples, the output signal can be transmitted in parallel to different computing systems.

A radiofrequency transponder comprises a radiating antenna consisting of a single-strand helical spring having an axis, a median plane, a pitch and a diameter for a given wire diameter, and an electronic portion located inside the radiating antenna. The electronic portion comprises an electronic chip electrically connected to a primary antenna that is electromagnetically coupled to the radiating antenna. The primary antenna has an axis parallel to the axis of the radiating antenna and a median plane superposed with the median plane of the radiating antenna. The primary antenna is circumscribed by a cylinder the diameter of which is larger than one third of the inside diameter of the radiating antenna. The radiofrequency transponder is characterized in that, in a first region of the radiating antenna, in which the latter is not located plumb with the electronic portion, the inside diameter of the radiating antenna is smaller than the inside diameter of the radiating antenna that does not form part of this first region.

TPMS autolocalization using direction sensitive antennas

A method of localizing a TPMS sensor module includes transmitting, by the TPMS sensor module, a TPMS signal; and localizing, by a localization module, the TPMS sensor module based on receiving the TPMS signal at a phase array antenna including a plurality of reception antennas each configured to receive the TPMS signal. Localizing the TPMS sensor module includes measuring a phase of the TPMS signal at each of the plurality of reception antennas such that a plurality of phases corresponding to the TPMS signal are determined, and determining a location of the TPMS sensor module based on the plurality of phases.
