STABILIZER BAR CONTROL APPARATUS AND METHOD
20210061052 · 2021-03-04 ·

An apparatus for controlling a stabilizer bar including: a steering angular velocity detection unit configured to detect a steering angular velocity of a vehicle in operation; a steering angle detection unit configured to detect a steering angle of the vehicle; and a control unit configured to determine whether the vehicle is turning, based on the steering angular velocity information and the steering angle information of the vehicle, and perform clutch coupling by driving a clutch of a stabilizer bar having the clutch applied thereto, when it is determined that the vehicle is turning. The control unit decides a clutch coupling time period in response to an instantaneous turning velocity of the vehicle, and performs the clutch coupling in response to the decided clutch coupling time period.

Stabilizer device

This stabilizer device is provided with first and second stabilizers and a joint device that can be switched between and ON-state and an OFF-state. The ON-state is a state in which a force inputted to one of the stabilizers can be transmitted to the other stabilizer, and the OFF-state is a state in which said transmission is disabled. The joint device has at least one engagement part that can be displaced to an engagement position and a non-engagement position. In addition, the joint device assumes the ON-state when the at least one engagement part is in the engagement position, and assumes the OFF-state when the at least one engagement part is in the non-engagement position.

Stabilizer bar disconnect

A stabilizer bar has a first connected position and a second disconnected position. One side-bar is fixed to a housing while the other side-bar is fixed to a tulip within the housing. The housing has a plurality of axial grooves. The tulip defines a plurality of slots which are aligned with the grooves when the vehicle is level. A nut has a plurality of pins that extend radially such that the nut is torsionally coupled to the housing. In a first connected position, the pins fit within the slots of the tulip to torsionally couple the nut and the housing to the tulip. To facilitate a second disconnected position, a motor driven actuator moves the nut axially such that the pins no longer engage the slots. When motor power is withdrawn, a spring pushes the nut back to the first connected position.

The anti-sway bar assembly including: a first anti-sway bar member associated, at a first end thereof, with a first wheel of the vehicle; a second anti-sway bar member associated, at a first end thereof, with an opposed second wheel of the vehicle; and a connection assembly associated with a second end of each of the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member, the connection assembly configured for movement between a use condition in which the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member are connected to one another, and a released condition in which the first anti-sway bar member and the second anti-sway bar member are disconnected from one another.

MOTOR VEHICLE WHEELSET ANTI-ROLL DEVICE WITH ACTUATING MEANS OPERATED BY A HYDRAULIC CONTROL CIRCUIT
20200269649 · 2020-08-27 ·

An anti-roll device comprises a bar coupled to two links, a hydraulic control circuit (CC) and actuating means (MAC) comprising a casing (CR) defining the chamber (CH) subdivided into a first (P1) and a second (P2) part by a piston (PI), and comprising first (ES1) and second (ES2) inlets-outlets communicating with the first (P1) and second (P2) parts and an intermediate inlet-outlet (ES1) communicating with the first part (P1) or with the second part (P2) depending on the position of the piston (PI). These actuating means (MAC) adopt a disengaged state or block state in whatever position of the piston (PI), according to the accessibility status of the first (ES1) and second (ES2) inlets-outlets and of the intermediate inlet-outlet (ES1). The control circuit (CC) controls the accessibility statuses according to the commands received.

The disclosure relates to a coupling device for a stabilizer of a suspension. The coupling device has a first coupling portion and a second coupling portion that is supported thereon. One coupling portion has a connection location for the stabilizer and another coupling portion has a connection location for a wheel suspension. and the coupling device also has a locking device, which, in a locking position, limits a relative movement of the second coupling portion with respect to the first coupling portion in a first direction. In order to better protect a stabilizer from overload, the locking device is configured in a release position to release the relative movement when a first force acting between the connection locations exceeds a threshold value.
