Airbag module
An airbag textile containing a woven textile having an inner side and an outer side, a primer layer on the outer side of the textile and a gas barrier layer on the primer layer. The primer layer contains a first thermoplastic polymer and has a surface roughness and a plurality of holes extending at least partially through the thickness of the primer layer. The gas barrier layer contains a second thermoplastic polymer and at least partially fills in the surface roughness and holes of the primer layer.
Laminate and airbag
A laminate includes a fabric; and a thermoplastic film, wherein the thermoplastic film is a multilayer film including an adhesive layer including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a barrier layer that is bonded to the adhesive layer, and that has a melting point that is higher than a melting point of the adhesive layer, and that includes a polymer, and wherein the fabric includes a polyester, and the fabric has a fabric weight of 190 g/m.sup.2 or less.
Air bag base cloth and air bag
An air bag base cloth according to the present invention includes a base cloth main body formed of synthetic fibers, and a synthetic resin layer with which at least one face of the base cloth main body is coated, and the moisture content measured in accordance with JIS L 1096.8.10 is 0.5% or less.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LAMINATE, LAMINATE, AND AIRBAG
A method of manufacturing a laminate including a fabric and a thermoplastic film, wherein the thermoplastic film is a multilayer film including an adhesive layer including a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a barrier layer that is bonded to the adhesive layer, and that has a melting point that is higher than a melting point of the adhesive layer, and that includes a polymer, and wherein the fabric includes a polyester, the method including a step of adhering a side of the multilayer film with the adhesive layer to the fabric, while heating the multilayer film at a temperature below the melting point of the barrier layer.
Heat resistant reinforcing cloth for airbag
A heat resistant reinforcing cloth for an airbag is provided. The heat resistant reinforcing cloth can be disposed on an airbag part which contacts expansion gas in an airbag. The airbag can be deployed and expanded by expansion gas ejected from an inflator. The heat resistant reinforcing cloth comprises: a base fabric of natural fibers selected from the group consisting of cotton, hemp, flax, and combinations thereof; and a silicone rubber layer on both sides of the base fabric.
INFLATABLE SAFETY DEVICES
This disclosure describes inflatable articles such as airbags for inflatable safety devices for a vehicle passenger-protecting system, a process for manufacturing said inflatable articles, hydrosilylation curable silicone elastomer compositions and their uses in assembling said inflatable safety devices. The composition used comprised an organopolysiloxane based additive which comprises at least one, alternatively at least two Si—H groups per molecule and at least one, alternatively at least two functional groups per molecule, selected from anhydride groups and epoxy groups.
BASE FABRIC FOR AIRBAG, MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR BASE FABRIC FOR AIRBAG, AND AIRBAG
A base fabric for an airbag has a puncture load equal to or more than 6.0 N, wherein values obtained by dividing a bending stiffness (method A of JIS L 1096(2010)8.21) in each of a warp direction and a weft direction by a cover factor are equal to or less than 0.030 mm.
COATED BASE FABRIC FOR AIRBAG AND AIRBAG INCLUDING SAME
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a coated fabric for airbags that is less likely to have yarn slippage after being sewn, and that can also be compactly stored; and an airbag using the coated fabric. As means for achieving this object, a coated fabric for airbags that has a crimp ratio of 12% or more in the warp direction and a crimp ratio of 6% or less in the weft direction is provided.
A COATING COMPOSITION, A COATED FABRIC, A METHOD OF MAKING A COATED FABRIC, AND AN ARTICLE MADE FROM THE COATED FABRIC
A coating composition which comprises a dispersion which is a melt blended product of one or more olefinic base polymers; one or more dispersants; one or more compatibilizers; water; and optionally base; wherein the dispersion exhibits an average volume mean particle size diameter of less than or equal to 2 microns, a solids content of equal to or less than 70 wt %, and a pH of 8 or greater; one or more rheology modifiers; and optionally one or more neutralizing agents is provided. An article coated with the coating composition and a method of making the coated article are also provided.
A COATING COMPOSITION, A COATED FABRIC, A METHOD OF MAKING A COATED FABRIC, AND AN ARTICLE MADE FROM THE COATED FABRIC
A coating composition which comprises a first polymeric component which comprises a first polymeric dispersion, wherein polymers contained in the first polymeric dispersion have a surface free energy of equal to or greater than 28 mJ/m.sup.2 and a volume average particle size diameter of from 0.1 to 10 microns; a second polymeric component which comprises one or more second polymeric emulsions wherein polymers contained in the second polymeric emulsions have a surface free energy equal to or less than 26 mJ/m.sup.2 and a volume average particle size diameter from 0.005 to 1,000 microns; one or more rheology modifiers is provided. An article coated with the coating composition and a method of making the coated article are also provided.
