An object of this invention is to provide a coated fabric for airbags that achieves sufficient heat resistance without relying on the amount or type of resin in a coating layer.

Provided is a coated fabric for airbags, comprising a coating layer disposed on at least one surface of a woven fabric directly or with one or more other layers interposed therebetween, the coating layer containing a thermally responsive foaming agent.

Coated fabric for airbag

A coated fabric for an airbag having improved tensile strength of coated fabric without increasing the strength of a raw yarn is provided. The coated fabric for the airbag comprises a coated silicone resin on one surface of a textile made of synthetic fiber filaments, wherein the silicone resin is present at a joint between warp and weft of a non-coated surface of the textile.

RIBBON YARN

Described is a ribbon yarn made of multifilament yarns based on polyamide and/or polyester, wherein not more than 5 filaments overlie one another within the ribbon yarn, wherein the ribbon yarn is fixed by the formation of a matrix comprising one or more fixing agents, wherein the one or more fixing agents are selected from a group consisting of copolyamides, copolyesters, silicones, and mixtures or blends thereof.

Airbag device

An airbag device includes a first section and a second section. The first section is defined by a first material having a first heat dissipating characteristic. The second section is defined by a second material having a second heat dissipating characteristic. The second section dissipates heat at a higher rate than the first section when the airbag device is deployed.

OPW airbag

The invention relates to an OPW (one piece woven) airbag comprising warp threads and weft threads which are woven into at least three woven fabric layers, a lower fabric layer (UG), an upper fabric layer (OG), and a central fabric layer (MG) arranged therebetween. The warp threads and weft threads of the central fabric layer (MG) protrude out of the central fabric layer (MG) and completely float between the lower fabric layer (UG) and the upper fabric layer (OG) in a first sub-region (ETB) of the OPW airbag and are integrated into the lower fabric layer (UG) or into the upper fabric layer (OG) in a second sub-region (ZTB) of the OPW airbag.

AIR BAG DEVICE

An air bag 2, an inflator 3, and a diffuser 30 are attached to a retainer 10. The diffuser 30 has a main surface portion 31, leg piece portions 32 extending in four radiating directions, and flap portions 34. The main surface portion 31 covers a head side of the inflator 3. The leg piece portion 32 passes through a mounting ring 20 and an inflator opening 12 and passes between the retainer 10 and a flange portion 3b of the inflator 3. A bolt 21 of the mounting ring 20 is inserted through a small hole 33 of the leg piece portion 32.

Coated fabric products

An air bag coated with a cured organopolysiloxane composition, characterized in that the air bag is top coated with an antifriction coating comprising at least one solid lubricant dispersed in an organic polymer binder.

Silicone-coated fabric

This invention provides a silicone-coated fabric for airbags in which creases can be easily formed by applying heat and pressure, that can be stored compactly, and that exhibits minimal damage on the coated layer when deployed. More specifically, the invention provides a silicone-coated fabric comprising a silicone-based resin coated on one surface of a synthetic fiber woven fabric, and a thermoplastic resin adhering to the silicone-based resin-coated surface, wherein the adhesive strength between the silicone-based resin-coated surfaces is 0.01 to 10 N/cm.
