Surface wiper system
12269435 · 2025-04-08 · ·

A surface wiper device which includes a carrier which supports a blade. The carrier attaches to a wiper arm which urges the blade against and moves the blade across the surface of a windshield. The carrier further provides a plurality of outlets each of which communicate between a hollow passage inside the carrier and a location on the external surface of the carrier. A fluid can be delivered from a fluid source fluidicly coupled to the hollow passage of the carrier under sufficient pressure to be dispersed from the plurality of outlets onto the windshield during movement of the blade. A fluid heater can be thermally coupled with the fluid delivered from the fluid source to the plurality of outlets to increase the temperature of the fluid dispersed onto the windshield. The fluid can be sufficiently heated to generate a heated gas.

A cleaning device for a surface, such as a windshield of a vehicle, includes an active positioning system and a cleaning head. The active positioning system is configured to deploy from a storage position hidden from view within a covered storage space and to position the cleaning head upon the windshield. The active positioning system includes a first extension member and a second extension member that move relative to one another to position the cleaning head, and also move the cleaning head across the windshield along a path. The cleaning head can have a brush portion configured to agitate debris from the window, and a drying portion configured to dry the window after cleaning. The cleaning device can be controlled via a touch-screen display in the vehicle, enabling a user to direct that specific portions of the windshield be cleaned as desired.

WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE ASSEMBLY

A windshield wiper blade assembly has a windshield wiper blade with an articulation element for articulating the blade to a wiper arm. An electrical connector includes two coaxial parts configured to rotate relative to each other, one part of which being intended to be secured to the articulation element and the other part of which being intended to be secured to the wiper arm. One part of the two coaxial parts is a male part including at least one male connector and the other part is a female part including at least one female connector associated with the at least one male connector, The least one female connector is arranged in a circular groove, so that said at least one male connector is able to move in rotation inside the groove and to contact the at least one female connector during the rotation of the two coaxial parts relative to each other.
