Windshield wiper having a coupler with positive locking features
A windshield wiper assembly adapted to be mounted to the attachment portion of a wiper arm including a coupler assembly mounted to a wiper blade and serving to interconnect the wiper blade to the wiper arm. The coupler assembly includes a coupler having a body with a pair of sidewalls, a channel defined between the sidewalls and extending substantially parallel thereto. The channel is adapted to cooperatively receive the attachment portion of the wiper arm. A latching mechanism is operatively mounted to the body and movable between an open position spaced from the channel and a closed position disposed over the channel to secure the attachment portion of the wiper arm between the latching mechanism and the body thereby securing the coupler to the attachment portion of the wiper arm.
WIPER BLADE CLIP
Clip (15) for a wiper blade (10), which clip is configured to be interposed between an end-piece (22) of the blade (10) and an aerodynamic spoiler (20) of a longitudinal cover member of the blade (10), characterized in that the said clip (15) comprises first means (25) able to collaborate by friction and/or anchorage with the end-piece (22) and second means (27) able to collaborate by friction and/or anchorage with the spoiler (20).
Wiper blade adapter, in particular for a motor vehicle wiper device
The invention relates to a wiper blade adapter, in particular for a motor vehicle wiper device, comprising a coupling unit (10) which comprises at least one first coupling element (12) and a second coupling element (14) which are provided for coupling at least two different types of wiper arm adapters (100, 110, 120, 130), and housing means (62) which are provided for delimiting at least one part of one of the coupling elements (12). According to the invention, said housing means (62) and the coupling element (12) are embodied such that they form one piece.
Universal coupler assembly and wiper assembly incorporating the same
A universal coupler assembly for a wiper assembly includes a carrier adapted to be mounted to the wiper assembly and a saddle that is removably received and retained by the carrier. The saddle is slideably mounted in a side of the carrier and includes a locking mechanism to provide releasable engagement with the carrier. The carrier and saddle cooperate to accommodate various sizes of “pinch-type” wiper arm attachment members, “push-button-type” attachment members, as well as “side-pin-type” and “pin-and-bent-tab-type” attachment members that are used to connect the wiper arm and the wiper assembly.
Windshield wiper connector
A wiper blade connector including a body member having a first side wall, a second wall, and a top surface extending between the first and second side walls and a connector securing structure, which may include a rivet passage and an arcuate rivet clip, the arcuate rivet clip extending substantially perpendicular to the rivet passage, and a wiper blade incorporating same.
One-touch slide assembly type wiper blade
Disclosed is a one-touch slide assembly type wiper blade in which a rail spring is coupled to an upper part of a rubber blade, a base cover is formed, in the longitudinal direction thereof, at the center of the rubber blade including the rail spring, and right and left spoilers are respectively assembled at both right and left parts of the base cover, wherein one or more bracket-shaped grip parts are formed on the bottom surface of the base cover respectively at the front side and the rear side thereof, and then the base cover is slidingly assembled in a state in which bidirectional movement can be freely performed using grip parts, and the right and left positions of the base cover, which is slidingly assembled, are fixed by the right and left spoilers, which are respectively coupled to the both side parts of the base cover.
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE
A wiper blade having a wiper strip having a wide portion and a lip, and an elongate backing element. The backing element having a top portion, and two opposing legs that descend from the top portion, such that each opposing leg has a claw which extends towards the other opposing leg. A gap formed between the claws that is narrower than a width of the wide portion of the wiper strip. The claws, legs, and top portion define a wiper strip cavity sized to receive the wide portion wiper strip.
Wiper blade adapter attachment system
A system and method are provided that enables windshield wiper blades to be replaced without the complexity of removing and reattaching adapters to the wiper arms with every wiper blade replacement cycle. The wiper blade adapter is reusable and stays connected to the windshield wiper arm while providing a simple connecting system that enables the attachment of the wiper blade to the base of the adapters. The adapters are made of engineered plastic that does not wear as quickly as the rubber squeegee and does not need to be replaced as often as the wiper blade. The reusable wiper blade adapter employs a simple mating connector on the wiper blade that provides for an intuitive motion to attach and detach from the base of the adapter thus providing for a simpler blade replacement process.
Windshield wiper device, in particular wiper arm adapter device, wiper arm waving the windshield wiper device and windshield wiper having the windshield wiper device
The invention is based on a windshield wiper device, in particular a wiper arm adapter device, having at least one fluid connection piece (36) which delimits at least one fluid channel (38), and having at least one adapter piece (40), wherein the adapter piece (40) and the fluid connection piece (36) are constructed to be able to be moved relative to each other and are provided to be moved relative to each other during a coupling or uncoupling operation, in particular with a wiper blade (16). It is proposed that the windshield wiper device comprise at least one coupling unit (42) which is provided to close the fluid channel (38) in accordance with a position of the adapter piece (40) relative to the fluid connection piece (36).
