The novel chromatography media comprises a pentaligand and provides high dynamic binding capacity as well as high purity of the sample proteins purified on the media of the invention.
Porous polymer monoliths adapted for sample preparation
A porous polymer monolith comprises a polymer body having macroporous through-pores that facilitate fluid flow through the body and an array of mesopores adapted to bind from the fluid flow molecules of a predetermined range of sizes, wherein the surface area of the monolith is predominantly provided by the mesopores. Also disclosed is a method of making a porous polymer monolith. The method includes forming a polymer body by phase separation out of a solution containing at least a monomer, a crosslinker and a primary porogen, whereby the body contains multiple macroporous through-pores, wherein the solution further contains a secondary porogen comprising oligomers inert with respect to the monomer and cross-linker but chemically compatible with the monomer so as to form mesostructures within the polymer body during said phase separation, and washing the mesostructures from the body to provide an array of mesopores such that the surface area of the monolith is predominantly provided by the mesopores.
Aldehyde scavenger and method for removing aldehydes

An aldehyde scavenger comprising at least one O-substituted hydroxylamine or at least one chemically acceptable salt thereof, is used against an aldehyde generation source.
POLYMERIC SORBENTS FOR ALDEHYDES AND METHODS OF MAKING
Polymeric sorbents for aldehydes including formaldehyde and acetaldehyde are provided. More particularly, the polymeric sorbents are sulfonic acid-containing polymeric materials with impregnated urea-based compounds. Additionally, methods of making the polymeric sorbent, methods of sorbing aldehydes (i.e., aldehydes that are volatile under use conditions) on the polymeric sorbents, compositions resulting from the sorption of aldehydes on the polymeric sorbents, and filters containing the polymeric sorbents are provided.
Biomimetic affinity purification material and its application in chitosanases purification
The invention relates to a novel biomimetic affinity purification material and its application in the purification of chitosanase, which belongs to the field of industrial biotechnology. The affinity ligand for the biomimetic affinity material is chitodisaccharides, the connecting arm is cyanuric chloride, and the base medium is epoxy-activated Sepharose™ 6B. The desorption constant (Kd) and the theoretical maximum adsorption capacity (Qmax) of the biomimetic affinity material are 24.2 μg/mL and 24.1 mg/g, respectively. Using the above biomimetic affinity material, a chitosanase biomimetic affinity purification method is established, which can produce high-purity chitosanase with high efficiency and low cost, and has good industrial application potential.
Urea-impregnated zeolite sorbents and method for making the same
A sorbent suitable for sorbing aldehydes includes acidified zeolite impregnated with a urea-based compound, the acidified zeolite having a pore opening of 5 Å or greater and a molar ratio of silicate to aluminate of at least 1.1:1. The sorbent may be prepared by impregnating acidified zeolite with a solution of a urea-based compound, where the acidified zeolite includes proton counterions. The sorbent may be supported on a filter support to provide an air filter.
