Aspects herein provide for a pocket structure for an apparel item. The apparel item comprises an outer panel of material, an inner panel of material, a pocket panel, and a double-layer trim piece such as a waistband. A top edge of the outer panel is affixed to an outer layer of the waistband, and a top edge of the inner panel is affixed to an inner layer of the waistband. The pocket panel is positioned between the inner panel and the outer panel, and a top edge of the pocket panel is affixed to the outer layer of the waistband, and a bottom edge of the pocket panel is affixed to the inner panel of material. A pocket space is defined between the pocket panel and the inner panel of material. An opening to the space is formed through the outer layer of the waistband.

Pants can include a waist portion; first and second legs extending from the waist portion; and at least one rear pocket located in the waist portion and surrounded by pants fabric, the at least one rear pocket including an interior panel attached to an inner surface of the pants fabric and an exterior panel attached to an outer surface of the interior panel, and material of the interior and exterior panels being discontinuous with the pants fabric, wherein at least a portion of an outer surface of the exterior panel is flush with an outer surface of the pants fabric.

Provided is a knitted fabric in which a first knitted fabric portion and a second knitted fabric portion that overlap each other in the thickness direction are joined to each other so as to be easily rotated about a joint position of the two knitted fabric portions, which serves as a rotation axis. The knitted fabric includes: a passage location (7) at which stitches (4a to 4d) of the n-th knitting course (4A) of the second knitted fabric portion (4) are passed through gaps between stitches in the first knitted fabric portion (2) from one surface side to the other surface side, so that the up and down positions in the thickness direction of the first knitted fabric portion (2) and the second knitted fabric portion (4) are reversed with respect to each other. Furthermore, a terminal portion (4y) of the second knitted fabric portion (4) is subjected to an unravel treatment in the vicinity of the passage location at which the second knitted fabric portion (4) is passed through the first knitted fabric portion (2), so that the first knitted fabric portion (2) and the second knitted fabric portion (4) are joined to each other at the passage location (7) . Here, the gaps are each surrounded by two adjacent stitches (2a and 2b through 2d and 2e) in the m-th knitting course (2A) of the first knitted fabric portion (2), a sinker loop that connects the adjacent stitches, and a sinker loop in the (m+1)-th knitting course (2B).

A garment having an improved pocket construction. The garment includes a garment body and at least one partial bag pocket attached to the garment body. The garment may also include a finished edge along the lower portion of the at least one partial bag pocket for providing reinforcement. Finally, the garment may also include a closure.

A garment made includes at least a waist portion, a first leg portion, and a second leg portion. The waist portion further includes a pocket on the front of the garment, where the pocket is defined by at least the waist portion and a backing panel. The backing panel may be constructed from a resilient material and is reconfigurable between an empty configuration and an expanded configuration. When in the empty configuration, the backing panel may include a plurality of folded panels and may be aligned with the waist portion. When in the expanded configuration, the backing panel may be stretched to extend beyond the waist portion. The backing panel is reconfigured from the empty configuration and the expanded configuration when an object is disposed within the pocket. The pocket is sized and shaped to receive small personal items, such as smartphones, keys, money, credit carts, identification, etc.

Multiple test coupons are incorporated in the construction of a personal garment for the purpose of determining the presence of foreign substances acquired during garment use or a change in properties or other change in characteristics over time. Each of the test coupons is retained with the garment during the useful life of the garment until the coupon is individually removed for test purposes. Each test coupon has a construction identical to the garment construction and is easily removable and configured to allow for destructive testing. Sufficient multiple coupons are provided with each garment over its life to allow for periodic testing.

Included herein are multiple pocket systems orientated along a seam or other shared axis of positioning where a primary pocket is provided and a subordinate secondary pocket is accessible through the primary pocket. In so doing the primary pocket may be positioned before the subordinate secondary security pocket and user access to the higher pocket and the subordinate security pocket may lie along the same positioning axis where access to the security pocket is primarily achieved after passing into the primary pocket.

An article having a panel secured between two layers of a trim piece and having a pocket affixed to a zipper, where a first zipper tape is affixed to the panel, and a second zipper tape is secured between the two layers of the trim piece such that the pocket is in communication with an incised opening in the panel is provided. The panel may be secured between the two layers of the trim piece at a first edge, and the incised opening may be formed proximate to the first edge such that the article comprises a pocket presented proximate to the trim piece. The present invention further comprises a method of manufacturing the article including a pocket presented proximate to the trim piece.

A bottom garment with buttock lifting feature with a tape attached to an inner side of the seat area corresponding to each of the back pockets, such that the tape extends downwardly from the waist area along and inside a stitching line of the outer lateral edge of the back pocket to the lower end of the outer lateral edge, then extends laterally from the lower end of the outer lateral edge along and inside a stitching line of the bottom edge to the lower end of the inner lateral edge, and finally extends upwardly from the lower end of the inner lateral edge along and inside a stitching line of the inner lateral edge to the waist area.

An apparatus and a system for support and/or holder for implements, and more specifically, for the securement and transport of personal items such as eyewear is provided. The apparatus may be used with a shirt. For example, the shirt can include a first protector pocket attached to the shirt, the first protector pocket including a pull tab loop with an open portion in the center. The shirt can also include a second protector pocket attached to the shirt, the second protector pocket including a vertical loop. A first shorter pocket can be in front of a second taller pocket. The pocket can include a notch such as a semi-circular notch, a rectangular notch formed on the face of the pocket or a notch that is formed on the side of the pocket and defined by two areas of stitching, one above the notch and a second below the notch.
