When the waist portion is stretched, the tensile forces imparted onto the waist portion by the resilient/elastomeric material causes the first flap to at least partially overlie the second flap. The pocket is sized and shaped to receive smartphones and other small personal items, such as keys, money, credit cards, identifications, etc.

A concealed pocket system is described herein. The concealed pocket system has a concealed pouch assembly disposed on a clothing garment. A concealed pocket of the concealed pouch assembly is disposed within a hand pouch and has at least one access point to a storage area of the concealed pocket. The concealed pocket system enables users to securely store items in the clothing garment, while effectively hiding points of access to the storage area (i.e. the interior pocket compartment) of the concealed pocket, thereby providing an additional layer of security.

A garment includes a first layer configured to contact a wearer of the garment and keep the garment from riding up during use, one or more pocket panels coupled to the first layer such that one or more pockets are defined between the pocket panels and the first layer, and a strap extending circumferentially at least partially about an upper portion of the garment.
