End piece for a wiper blade

The invention relates to a terminal end piece (8) for a wiper blade. The terminal end piece (8) comprises a peripheral wall (20) which separates an external environment of the terminal end piece (8) from an internal space (11) of the terminal end piece (8). The terminal end piece (8) delimits a first housing (21) which is arranged in the internal space (11) and which extends primarily in a first plane (P1). A second housing (22) is interposed between the peripheral wall (20) and the first housing (21). The terminal end piece (8) comprises at least one locking member (37) which is configured to connect the terminal end piece (8) to a flexible support (6) of the wiper blade (1). The locking member (37) extends at least from the peripheral wall (20) and comprises a stop (46) which is at least partially arranged in the first housing (21), the locking member (37) being configured so that the stop (46) can be displaced in a second plane (P2) transverse to the first plane (P1) when the first end (31) is introduced into the first housing (21).

Wiper adapter and wiper assembly incorporating the same

An adapter (124) for attaching to an attachment member (138) of a wiper arm (114) extending to an terminal end (140) with an upper wall (142) and a pair of side walls (144) depending from the upper wall. The side walls each have an inward protrusion (146) and a U-shaped cutout (148) formed at the end defining upper (150) and lower cutout (152) edges. The upper wall has an aperture (156). The adapter has a body (158) with first (160) and second (162) ends. A stop (164) formed at the first end abuts the attachment member end. A slot (166) formed at the second end receives one of the protrusions. A resilient finger (168) attached to the body has a tooth (170) engaging the aperture to prevent longitudinal movement between the attachment member and adapter. A brace (172) formed at the first end is received in one of the cutouts when the tooth engages the aperture. The brace at least partially abuts the lower cutout edge and remains spaced from the upper cutout edge.

WINDSCREEN WIPER DEVICE

A connecting device for interconnecting a windscreen wiper device of the flat blade type and an oscillating arm pivotally connectable to the connecting device about a pivot axis near one end thereof. The windscreen wiper device comprises an elastic, elongated carrier element, as well as an elongated wiper blade of a flexible material, which can be placed in abutment with a windscreen to be wiped. The wiper blade includes at least one groove, in which a longitudinal strip of the carrier element is disposed. The connecting device comprises a first part arranged to be connected to the windscreen wiper device, as well as a second part arranged to be interposed between the first part and the oscillating arm. The second part is arranged to be pivotally connected to the first part optionally around a first pivot axis or around a second pivot axis.

Windshield wiper blade

A wiper blade having a wiper strip having a wide portion and a lip, and an elongate backing element. The backing element having a top portion, and two opposing legs that descend from the top portion, such that each opposing leg has a claw which extends towards the other opposing leg. A gap formed between the claws that is narrower than a width of the wide portion of the wiper strip. The claws, legs, and top portion define a wiper strip cavity sized to receive the wide portion wiper strip.

Described is a windshield wiper apparatus that is formed to dispense fluid. The wiper apparatus includes an elongate body member having a length with a sealable channel therein that runs along the length. At least one blade protrudes downward along the length of the elongate body member. Further, a series of holes are formed such they pass from the sealable channel and through the elongate body member proximate the at least one blade. Thus, a fluid passing through the sealable channel is dispensed onto a surface proximate the at least one blade.
