A device for generating and dispersing chlorine dioxide which includes a housing, at least one removeable tray having a plurality of compartments contained within an interior of the housing, and a fan in communication with the interior of the housing and the exterior of the housing for directing a current of chlorine dioxide gas that is generated from chemicals that are positioned within the removeable tray(s).

SYSTEMS, REACTORS, METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR PRODUCING CHLORINE DIOXIDE
20180334384 · 2018-11-22 ·

Systems and methods for producing chlorine dioxide in a single vessel process include a simplified control of sodium sulfate concentration, particularly for small to medium scale chlorine dioxide generators. The benefits of the described systems and methods include high chlorate efficiency, compact design and low sulfuric acid use. In some embodiments, the described systems and methods produce chlorine dioxide and separate the chlorine dioxide for use in the treatment of drinking water. The separated chlorine dioxide for use in the treatment of drinking water has no chlorate of chlorite or levels of chlorate or chlorite that are well below allowed limits. Novel compositions from which to produce chlorine dioxide include mixtures of hydrogen peroxide and a miner al acid and mixtures of an alkali metal chlorate, alkali metal salt and hydrogen peroxide are also described.

Chlorine dioxide generator

A method of producing chlorine dioxide involves generating chlorine dioxide gas by deforming a container body of a chlorine dioxide generator which is deformable in response to application of a force to the container body from outside of the container body. The deforming of the container body causes an enclosure contained in the cylinder body to be broken to bring an aqueous chlorite solution into contact with a solid acidic composition to generate chlorine dioxide gas that is discharged via a gas discharge port of the container body to outside of the container body. The method additionally involves submerging in water at least the gas discharge port of the container body during the generation of the chlorine dioxide gas to dissolve the chlorine dioxide gas discharged via the gas discharge port in the water.

CHLORINE DIOXIDE PRECURSOR AND METHODS OF USING SAME

According to one aspect of the invention, a method of converting an oxy halide salt into a halide dioxide in a reaction zone under certain conditions is provided. More specifically, the method includes generating chlorine dioxide from a stable composition comprising an oxy halide salt by introducing said composition to a reducing agent and minimum temperature within the reaction zone. According to another aspect of the invention, a composition for a stable chlorine dioxide precursor comprising an oxy halide salt is provided.

METHODS OF PRODUCING A GAS AT A VARIABLE RATE
