Safety vest
A protective body vest is disclosed applicable to industrial and contractor related work for carrying heavy and irregular shaped objects on the user's shoulder. The vest is in the shape of a typical armless vest, but can be adapted to have long sleeves to protect the wearers' arms as well as his torso, neck and shoulder. The vest has thick variable type padding for the vest garment and has a combination hard and soft support for the shoulder pads. Reflective bands on the vest offer protection by giving notice to all around of the wearer's presence.
SPECTRALLY SELECTIVE TEXTILE FOR PASSIVE RADIATIVE OUTDOOR PERSONAL COOLING
A textile includes: (1) a matrix; and (2) particulate fillers dispersed within the matrix. The textile has a transmittance of infrared radiation at a wavelength of 9.5 m of at least about 40%, and the textile has a weighted average reflectivity of radiation over a wavelength range of 0.3 m to 2 m of at least about 40%.

Method for manufacturing long lasting phosphorescent fabrics and fabrics obtained from the same
A method for manufacturing long lasting phosphorescent fabrics and articles of clothing including fabric for use in fields such as security, domestic, sports, health, professional, etc., includes (i) preparing a composition for dyeing having a strontium aluminate pigment doped with europium and dysprosium; (ii) coating a starting fabric with the composition by air knife coating or cylinder; (iii) drying; and (iv) polymerizing. The fabrics thus obtained have long lasting phosphorescent properties and a high resistance to washing, maintaining the factory specifications of the starting fabric with respect to its mechanical properties, comfort, breathability and/or high visibility properties, if relevant.
REFLECTIVE FABRICS
Disclosed is a retro-reflective fabric, having an inner surface and an outer surface; one or more strands of retro-reflective yarn incorporated into the fabric; and a reflective ink coupled to the outer surface of the fabric. Also provided is a method of making a retro-reflective fabric, including: providing a coated retro-reflective yarn; incorporating the coated retro-reflective yarn into the weave or knit of a fabric; and disposing a reflective ink into an outward facing surface of the fabric.
High-buoyancy material and system
An apparatus including a fine-array porous material with a specific surface area higher than 10/mm, the specific surface area depending on different pore sizes, wherein the porous material comprises a plurality of pores having a substantially uniform size with a variation of less than about 20%, wherein the size is larger than about 100 nm and smaller than about 10 cm. The high-buoyancy apparatus can be part of a water vehicle such as a boat or a submarine, and the fine-array porous material is configured to reduce friction and/or control buoyancy. A conduit is also provided employing a fine-array porous material to reduce friction and/or control buoyancy. A garment is provided taking advantage of water repellant and/or UV/IR reflection properties of the fine-array porous material.
HIGH VISIBILITY GARMENTS FOR OPERATIVES WORKING IN A HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENTS
High-visibility garment for use by operatives working in hazardous environment has base garment and detachable light-reflecting apparatus. Base garment comprises outer shell constructed from florescent material and having internal pocket. Powered control unit with loom socket, is retained within internal pocket. Base garment also includes outer attachment material at positions intended for light-reflective material, with loom hole in outer shell and in outer attachment material. Detachable light-reflecting apparatus has light-reflecting outer material with light-emitting devices extending through device holes. Apparatus has inner attachment material and loom connecting light-emitting devices, in which restrained portion of loom is located between light-reflecting outer material and inner attachment material. Loom also has extended portion that connects to loom plug. Loom plug is inserted within loom socket by passing extended portion through loom hole. Light-reflecting apparatus is attached to base garment by attaching inner attachment material to outer attachment material.
Cosmetic fabric
Garment (100) comprising a fabric (10) formed by at least one first yarn (1) and at least one second yarn (2), wherein said first yarn (1) comprises granules (1a) of material adapted to reflect, and/or emit and/or absorb infrared radiation, and wherein said second yarn (2) comprises microcapsules (2a) containing at least one cosmetic compound.
Material configuration enabling flexibility of a structure using rigid components
A light-weight radiation protection panel comprising radiation protection layer and a flexible material. The radiation protection layer comprises a plurality of a shielding material distributed in repeated and adjacent units of geometrical shapes, the light-weight radiation protection panel being able to be embodied in a wearable garment providing flexibility.
Reflective Articles of Wear
Reflective articles of wear are disclosed. The reflective articles of wear can include an elastomeric material and reflective components coupled to the elastomeric material. The elastomeric material forms a plurality of apertures.
