Apparatus and methods are provided to smooth the skin of the wearer of a garment that otherwise presents as excess skin. Generally, an item of clothing interfaces with a resistive structure, such that when the skin has been pulled taut, the restorative force of the skin is at least counterbalanced by force in the opposite direction. The interfacing structure provides sufficient adherence, adhesion and/or friction to the user's skin such that the interface structure remains in place. The formerly loose skin is then held taut. In one preferred embodiment, the first resistive member comprises left directed chevron shaped resistive member and the second resistive member is a right directed chevron shaped resistive member.

An aspect of the present invention provides a garment capable of improving a fit of cups for a wearer.

Materials and methods for producing materials to enhance tactile perception, and articles produced from or incorporating such a material. The materials include a substrate having first and second surfaces and surface patterns of texture on the surfaces. The surface patterns include sensitivity pegs having first portions that project from the first surface and second portions that project from the second surface. The first and second portions of the sensitivity peg are axially aligned and extend in opposite directions from each other to enhance tactile perception at the second surface.

Disclosed is a glove that alleviates the biasing force associated with opening or closing the hand and fingers. In some aspects the glove may have preformed angled portions at one or more joints or locations on the hand to enable the hand to flex between the open and closed position.

A glove that is less prone to slip on the hand, and/or that provides for better tactile sensation, and/or that provides a better outer grip. The garment structure includes a belt part, a front part, a rear part, and one or more elastic bands positioned within an interior space of the garment structure. The garment structure may include one or more rear elastic bands positioned to be between the user and the rear part when the garment structure is worn by the user, one or more front elastic bands positioned to be between the user and the front part when the garment structure is worn by the user, or both one or more rear and one or more front elastic bands.
