Body Protection
A body protection assembly is disclosed for protecting a human body from injury due to an impact. An internal planar structure (102) defines the shape of the apparatus and an outer layer of a flexible sheet material (105) has a shape defined by the internal planar structure. The internal planar structure is constructed from a plurality of cells such that, in response to an impact, the cells at the position of an impact region deform to absorb kinetic energy. Furthermore, the outer layer of flexible sheet material extends the size of the impact region so as to increase the number of cells that absorb this kinetic energy.
Abrasive resistant garment
A protective undergarment having reinforced areas in particular locations, such as the knees and seat. The garment is made of an abrasive resistant fabric, such as aramid fibers, in particular, Kevlar, and is preferably made in a woven or knitted pattern so as to be soft to the touch and breathable so that the garment is comfortable to wear under clothing. The undergarment may include stirrups attached at the bottom of each leg to prevent movement of the reinforced areas in the event of a fall.
TWO-SLEEVE PROTECTIVE GARMENT FOR MOTORCYCLISTS
The present invention relates to a two-sleeve protective garment (10) for motorcyclists comprising:a garment body (12), provided with a right arm opening (14) and a left arm opening (16); a right outer removable sleeve (18), configured to be removably fastened to the garment body (12) at the right arm opening (14), and a left outer removable sleeve (20), configured to be removably fastened to the garment body (12) at the left arm opening (16); a right inner sleeve (22), configured to be at least partially accommodated inside the right outer removable sleeve (18), and a left inner sleeve (24), configured to be at least partially accommodated inside the left outer removable sleeve (20); said right inner sleeve (22) being connected to the garment body (12) internally with respect to the right arm opening (14) and said left inner sleeve (24) being connected to the garment body (12) internally with respect to the left arm opening (16); said right inner sleeve (22) and said left inner sleeve (24) being provided with protective elements.
NOVEL JACKET WITH HANDLING MECHANISMS
This disclosure pertains to a novel motorcycle jacket used to improve safety during motorcycle rides. A novel motorcycle jacket may include one or more handles, disposed in one more orientations, thereon. The novel motorcycle jacket facilitates ease of grip with the handles which provide safety for motorcycle passengers. The novel motorcycle jacket may comprise a plurality of handles, a coupling means that attaches the plurality of handles to the body of a jacket. The motorcycle jacket may comprise a flexible material to facilitate lateral forces to apply thereon.
Safety system for a motor bike and method for triggering a safety system
A safety system for a motor bike includes an evaluation and control unit which receives crash-relevant information from at least one sensor unit and evaluates it for the purpose of detecting a crash, and in response to a detected crash, the evaluation and control unit activates at least one external safety component and/or at least one internal safety component using a triggering concept. The evaluation and control unit receives presence signals from the at least one external safety component and/or the at least one internal safety component and evaluates the received signals in order to detect the safety components currently available. The evaluation and control unit selects the triggering concept as a function of the detected safety components currently available.
KNEE BRACE
A knee brace including upper frame member for being fastened to upper part of user's leg, and lower frame member for being fastened to lower part of the user's leg. The upper frame member and the lower frame member are pivotally connected to each other by means of at least one articulation hinge. The knee brace also includes a patella protecting device positioned between the upper frame member and the lower frame member. The patella protecting device includes a protecting cup coupled to said at least one articulation hinge and designed to be positioned over the patella of the user. The patella protecting device further includes an elastomeric protecting element extending between the upper frame member and the lower frame member and operatively coupled to the protecting cup.
PROTECTIVE GARMENT FOR ARTICULATIONS OF THE HUMAN BODY
The present invention relates to a protective garment (10) for articulations of the human body, suitable for being used in particular by motorcyclists or cyclists. The protective garment (10) comprises: a flexible base layer (12) which in use is designed to stay close to the body (14) of the user; at least one energy absorbing device (16) positioned at a portion of the flexible base layer (12) which in use is designed to be superimposed to an articulation of the body (14) of the user. The at least one energy absorbing device (16) is connected to the flexible base layer (12) so as to be movable with respect to the flexible base layer (12) if a tangential impact (F) acts on the energy absorbing device (16). According to the invention, the energy absorbing device (16) comprises a slidable layer (18) connected to the flexible base layer (12) by means of at least one fixation member (20).
FLEXIBLE MODULAR ABSORPTION PANEL AND BLOCK FOR PRODUCING SUCH A PANEL
Disclosed is a panel that is produced by assembling a plurality of adjacent individual absorption blocks; each block in the panel is in the shape of a polyhedral pyramid frustum, of which the base is a regular six-sided polygon; each individual block including six lateral walls surrounded by a lower peripheral lip of which each section is provided with a complementary tenon or a mortise arranged so as to allow two adjacent individual blocks to be assembled, in particular by engagement, in the vertical direction, of a tenon and a mortise belonging respectively to one and the other of the two adjacent individual blocks.
TEXTILE CLOTHING ITEM WITH AT LEAST ONE ABRASION PROTECTION ZONE PROVIDED WITH PROTECTOR ELEMENTS AND A PROCESS FOR ITS PRODUCTION
In a process for the production of a textile clothing item with at least one abrasion protection zone provided with protector elements, the following steps are provided: 1) Provision of a textile backing layer (1) that is expandable and is provided in the form of a tube open on both sides (1), into which a support element (2) is introduced before the application of the coating material (5), by means of which the tube (1) is pre-extended and stretched free of wrinkles in the abrasion protection zones provided. 2) Provision of a pasty, hardenable coating material (5); 3) Application of a large number of portions of the coating material (5) on a surface of the backing layer for the formation of the protector elements, whereby the portions of the coating material (5) are arranged on the surface in such a way that the portions do not overlap and only a portion of the surface of the backing layer is covered by the coating material (5). A metallic molding plate (10, 20) that contains a large number of concave form cavities (11, 21) for the formation of the protector elements (101), which are filled with the pasty coating mass (5) and which is applied, with its openings, to the tube (1) supported on the support plate (2), is used for that purpose. 4) Hardening of the coating material (5) during the application of temperature for the formation of a large number of hard protector elements on the backing layer.
GLOVE
