Exhaust gas cleanup and recovery system CO2 capture and sequestration with commercial byproducts
A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up and recovery system is provided to remove detrimental exhaust gases from the power plant exhaust and to produce and reclaim various commercial byproducts. A process includes mixing one liquid solution with a solubilizer in a mixing tank containing water to create a chemical reaction therein to produce an ionic solid compound and an alkaline liquid solution. Simultaneously directing the flue gases and the alkaline liquid solution into the wet scrubber to create a chemical reaction therein. The chemical reaction removes various detrimental exhaust gases from the flue gases and captures CO.sub.2 gases therefrom, which are chemically transferred into a newly formed sodium bicarbonate solution. The sodium bicarbonate solution exiting the wet scrubber is stored for resale or reuse in the subject process. The process uses various pathways to distribute the sodium bicarbonate for producing other byproducts.
Physicochemical water treatment process using microfiber filter coated with coagulant
The present disclosure provides a physicochemical water treatment process using a microfiber filter coated with a coagulant, including: a) performing a pressurized filtration by supplying raw water to an upper portion of a pressurized microfiber filtering device including a microfiber filter coated with a coagulant; b) backwashing the microfiber filter by supplying backwashing water and air from a lower portion of the microfiber filtering device; and c) after the backwashing of the microfiber filter is completed, coating the microfiber filter with the coagulant by supplying the coagulant together with the backwashing water, wherein backwashing wastewater of the pressurized microfiber filtering device is concentrated by the suction type microfiber filter coated with the coagulant and transferred to a dehydrator.
Dental instrument water supply filter
A dental instrument water supply filter includes a hollow cylindrical body which bounds an interior area. The interior area houses a plurality of iodinated resin particles. A pair of water permeable discs are positioned in the interior area of the body at opposed axial ends. End caps close the interior area of the body at the respective opposed ends, and each end cap includes a respective removable fluid fitting. Water that is used in connection with the operation of a dental instrument is passed through the filter. The filter provides filtration and reduces microorganisms in the water that is passed therethrough and also releases ions into the water that are effective to reduce the growth of contaminants in the water lines to the instrument.
STRETCHABLE LAMINATES
The present invention provides stretchable laminates with a flat appearance on the visible surface. The laminates comprise a textile layer, a functional layer, and a plurality of elastic fibers. The plurality of elastic fibers are in a substantially parallel arrangement and the internal distance between adjacent fibers does not exceed the maximum fiber spacing, which depends on laminate thickness in a stretched state. Also provided are garments and footwear comprising the stretchable laminates and methods of producing the stretchable laminates.
Systems and methods of intensive recirculating aquaculture
Systems and methods for intensive recirculating aquaculture are provided herein. An example system includes water sourced from a first segment of a saline aquifer, a recirculating aquaculture system receiving the sourced water and producing discharge water, and a water discharge point located within a second segment of the saline aquifer disposed below the first segment of the saline aquifer.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE RECYCLING OF WASTE GENERATED FROM MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS
A method and system is provided for treating waste generated from manufacturing operations including at least one of Printed Circuit Boards Fabrication (PCB FAB), General Metal Finishing (GMF), semiconductors manufacturing, chemical milling, and Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). The method and system are used to create zero liquid discharge recycling.
Movably-connected and continuously-connected apparatus for uninterrupted high-salinity wastewater purification
A movably-connected and continuously-connected apparatus for uninterrupted high-salinity wastewater purification includes a high-salinity wastewater adsorption treatment system and a movably-connected drainage system embedded in the treatment system. The high-salinity wastewater adsorption treatment system includes four purification zone partition plates, a hollow cylindrical purification zone, a cylindrical water distribution sump located in an axial center of the purification zone, a rotating shaft, a motor, a fixed support and a water tank; the four purification zone partition plates include a first partition plate forming an angle of 135° with a horizontal direction from left to right, a second partition plate forming an angle of 45° with the horizontal direction from left to right, a third partition plate forming an angle of 135° with a vertical direction from bottom to top and a fourth partition plate forming an angle of 135° with the vertical direction from bottom to top.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING THE WATER LEVEL IN GROUND
A method of controlling the water level in ground in which drainage pipes have been laid, said method comprising: a) providing the ground with water passing through the drainage pipes in a natural way and/or by active intervention using a control system, b) creating an underpressure or overpressure of water and/or air in the drainage pipes by means of the control system, thereby causing water or air to be extracted from or supplied to the soil via the drainage pipes, and c) programming the programmable control system in such a manner that the control system determines the points in time, durations, volumes and/or order of the water supply to the drainage pipes and of the generation of an underpressure or overpressure of water and/or air.
HYBRID FILTER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD
A two-stage filter enclosed within a single vessel is provided. The two-stage filter is provided in the form of the vessel having a first filtration stage configured to capture particles of a first size, and a second filtration stage downstream of the first filtration stage and in fluid communication with the first filtration stage configured to capture particles of a second size, wherein the first size is larger than the second size. The first filtration stage may comprise a porous media. The second filtration stage may comprise one or more membrane filters.
DISTRIBUTED WASTEWATER COLLECTION, TREATMENT AND REUSE SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED, INTELLIGENT WILDFIRE DEFENSE
An intelligent sewage system designed for use in municipalities around the Wildland Urban Interface incorporates a decentralized network of wastewater treatment units to process wastewater from a plurality of parcels. The decentralized wastewater treatment units spread a Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) reduction of the wastewater throughout the system and effluent is delivered efficiently through a pressure sewage system. Non-potable and potable water supplies are generated and delivered to individually separable water distribution zones throughout the municipality. The system also provides an auxiliary high-pressure, high-flow non-potable water supply to compensate during depressurization events and bolster the water distribution zones in the event of a wildfire emergency event. The intelligent sewage system also incorporates a comprehensive wildfire defense network and a supervisory control and data acquisition system which work in concert to harden the municipality against wildfire risks and combat active wildfires.
