SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING DISPOSAL OF WASTEWATER IN ONE OR MORE DISPOSAL WELLS
20210301629 · 2021-09-30 ·

A system and method for monitoring disposal of wastewater in a disposal well includes: an event monitor sensor configured to identify a wastewater disposal event; and a second sensor configured to collect data about one or more characteristics of the wastewater during the wastewater disposal event. The data from the second sensor at the disposal well is analyzed to determine a classification of the wastewater, which is then reported to an operator or another interested party.

Saturated layer stormwater filter and passive stormwater management system with pretreatment

A saturated layer stormwater filtering system with down-flow layered multimedia filters is disclosed. The filtering system may include an upflow pretreatment chamber and a subsequent filtration chamber. It also includes a snorkel pipe as an adjustable head control or internal baffles. The system incorporates gravity powered partially saturated stormwater media filters to harness the potential energy of stormwater from downspouts and pumped flows from stormwater catchments to drive the polluted stormwater in a hydraulically controlled fashion by gravity through a series of filter media layers.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS RELATING TO EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF FLUID INFRASTRUCTURE

Fluid stream management systems and methods are described. An exemplar fluid stream management system includes a neural network connected to a cascading treatment processor. The neural network calculates an initial distant flow condition attribute value for a distant fluid treatment facility. The cascading treatment processor using hydrological information and the initial distant flow condition attribute value computes a predicted modified contribution value for the distant fluid treatment facility. The cascading treatment processor instructs multiple fluid flow controllers, each of which controls the operation of a flow-directing device such that a sum of the predicted modified total load value and a real time total load value of the distant fluid treatment facility is minimized. The real time total load value of the distant fluid treatment facility is based upon real time measurements obtained from one or more of the distant fluid treatment facility sensors.

Vortex mixing baffle

The present invention provides a baffle pipe having a proximal end and a distal end encased in a pipe housing for homeowners to treat their own water sources with sodium hypochlorite. On the proximal end, the baffle pipe is in liquid communication with a cap that includes an inlet and an injection port. The inlet is in liquid communication with a water supply, wherein the injection port infuse the water flowing therethrough with a sodium hypochlorite solution. The distal end of the baffle pipe includes a plurality of angularly spaced pins and projections that position the baffle pipe within the pipe housing. Chlorinated water is ejected through a plurality of perforations along the baffle pipe and forced downstream toward the second end and a bell reducer of the pipe housing, wherein the projections and the bell reducer create a vortex for continuous mixing.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING POLLUTANTS IN METAL MINE WATER RESOURCES CYCLING UTILIZATION

It discloses to a device and a method for controlling pollutants in metal mine water resources cycling utilization. The device includes a multi-stage inflow constructed wetland (3), in which one or more layers of the filler are laid, and water distribution pipes (4) are buried at different height levels in the filler layers for multi-stage inflow, so that the received basin water is allowed to flow through each layer of the filler to degrade or remove the pollutants. In the multi-stage inflow constructed wetland, the types of fillers, dosage ratio, particle size and filling height of fillers in each layer are specifically selected. Therefore, heavy metal adsorption, suspended matter filtration, organic matter degradation, dephosphorization and denitrification can be effectively realized in the multi-stage inflow constructed wetland.

DIRECT WATER PURIFIER

A direct water purifier comprises: a first filter for filtering water flowing in through a first flow path; a second filter receiving, through a second flow path, and filtering the water filtered by the first filter; a first valve, provided on the second flow path; a pump, provided on the second flow path, for supplying, to the second filter, water at a water pressure equal to or greater than a preset water pressure; a third filter receiving, through a third flow path, and filtering the water filtered by the second filter; a second valve, provided on the third flow path, for decreasing a pressure in the flow path; a third valve, provided at a rear end of the second valve, for preventing a backflow of the water; and a heating unit receiving the water filtered by the third filter and heating the water to a preset temperature.

LIQUID SOLUTION CONCENTRATION SYSTEM COMPRISING ISOLATED SUBSYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS

Liquid solution concentration systems, and related methods, are generally described. In some embodiments, the system is an osmotic system comprising a plurality of osmotic modules. For example, the osmotic system can comprise a feed osmotic module configured to produce an osmotic module retentate outlet stream having a higher concentration of solute than the retentate inlet stream transported to the feed osmotic module. The osmotic system can also comprise an isolation osmotic module fluidically connected to the feed osmotic module. The osmotic system can also optionally comprise a purification osmotic module fluidically connected to the feed osmotic module and/or the isolation osmotic module. Certain embodiments are related to altering the degree to which the feed osmotic module retentate outlet stream is recycled back to the retentate-side inlet of the feed osmotic module during operation. Additional embodiments are related to the manner in which the retentate-side effluent from the isolation osmotic module is distributed among the system modules during operation.
