A grey water treatment system includes a first tank configured to receive grey water via a grey water supply conduit and that comprises an overflow, a second tank configured to store grey water, and at least one transfer conduit configured to at least transfer grey water between the first tank and the second tank. A control is configured to maintain a water level in said first tank sufficiently close to the overflow to allow floating contaminants to pass over the overflow. A method of treating grey water includes: receiving grey water in a first tank of a grey water treatment system; transferring grey water via at least one transfer conduit between the first tank and a second tank of said treatment system; and controlling a water level in said first tank sufficiently close to an overflow of said first tank to allow floating contaminants to pass over the overflow.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT

A fluid management system including an inlet configured to receive pre-processed fluid is provided. The system includes a filtering apparatus configured to remove contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The filtering apparatus includes a plate having a first opening. A first manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations and a second opening at least partially aligned with the first opening. A second manifold pipe is disposed on the plate and includes one or more perforations. Filter media is disposed between the first manifold pipe and the second manifold pipe and is configured to separate the contaminants from the pre-processed fluid. The system also includes an outlet coupled to the second manifold pipe to receive processed fluid from the filtering apparatus.

AUTOMATIC SEWAGE REGULATION SYSTEM AND REGULATING METHOD THEREOF

An automatic sewage regulation system and a regulating method are provided. The automatic sewage regulation system is disposed between preset sewage sources and a preset sewage treatment apparatus and includes an equalization tank and an automatic sewage regulating device. The automatic sewage regulating device includes sensing modules for sensing and transmitting water quality sensing values of sewage in the preset sewage sources to a control module which outputs regulating signals to water flow regulators, so that the water flow regulators can regulate flowing volumes of the sewage of the preset sewage sources according to the regulating signal, to keep a water quality sensing value of the sewage in the equalization tank within a preset range, thereby preventing the equalization tank from converging sewage having excessively-high or excessively-low water quality sensing value. As a result, burden of the preset sewage treatment apparatus can be reduced.

MICROWAVE BASED SYSTEMS FOR BACTERIA REMOVAL FROM WATER COOLING TOWERS

A system is provided that utilizes electromagnetic energy for bacteria elimination from cooling systems, such as water cooling tower systems that are used to cool down a heat exchanger in oil industry and it can be also extended to be used in the bacteria removal associated to crude oil.

A module for a wastewater treatment system, for use when buried in permeable media such as sand or soil, includes a central distribution unit and a multiplicity of treatment fins in flow communication therewith. Within each fin is a lengthwise-running perforated pipe. In one kind of assembly, a treatment system module comprises a central housing has attached fins which are wrapped in spiral fashion around the central distribution unit when in a compact shipping container. In another assembly, the fins are attached to a central membrane and shipped in a container while folded, detached from the central distribution unit; and the distribution unit may be comprised of separate nested half units to be joined at the point of use. When take to a wastewater treatment site, the packed components are removed from the container and arranged for use.

System and Method for Water Purification

A filter for a water treatment apparatus includes: a current collector; activated carbon electrodes including an active carbon coating layer that is disposed on one or both sides of the current collector and that has an uneven pattern; spacers disposed between the activated carbon electrodes; electrode plates connected to side ends of the activated carbon electrodes; and a power supply configured to supply currents through the electrode plates to the activated carbon electrodes such that neighboring activated carbon electrodes alternatively form an anode and a cathode. The filter can decrease water hardness and has a high ion removing performance because the uneven pattern increases the specific surface area and water permeability, and an ion exchange membrane is not used and the current collector has a minimized volume, leading to the minimal thickness of the electrode.
