MICROBIAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THEREOF FOR USE IN TREATMENT OF CONTAMINATED SOIL, WATER, AND/OR SURFACES
There is provided microbial compositions and methods for producing thereof and use of compositions thereof in treatment of contaminated soil, water, and/or surfaces. In one aspect, there is provided method for reducing microbial contamination of a microbial contaminated body, the method comprises: inactivating resident vegetative microbiology from an extract obtained from a contaminated of body to inactivate the resident vegetative microbiology in the extract, selecting one or more soil-based microbes suitable for growth in the contaminated body, growing the one or more soil-based microbes with the inactivated extract to allow the one or more soil-based microbes to adapt to the inactivated extract, releasing the one or more soil-based microbes into the contaminated body where the one or more soil-based microbes dominate and reduce microbial contamination of the microbial contaminated body.
Method and systems for isolation and/or separation of target products from animal produced waste streams
The present invention relates to separation methods and systems for converting high concentrations of animal wastes into useful products, wherein the separation of the desired useful products is conducted with a cross-flow filtration system having the ability to the separate desired useful energy and/or products from both viscous and non-viscous medium.
Indoor aquaponics assembly
The present invention relates to an indoor aquaponics assembly which includes a base, an aquarium positioned above and supported by the base, a planter positioned above the aquarium, an aquarium conduit and a planter conduit. The planter is provided with at least two through holes facing towards the aquarium, one being adapted for a water drainage tube to pass through for draining water from the planter to the aquarium, and one being adapted for a tube of a pump to pass through for pumping water from the aquarium to the planter. The present invention aims at reducing the time and efforts required for caring and maintaining the aquarium and the plants.
Special pig manure charcoal modified by amino grafting, preparation method thereof, and its application in the reuse of nitrogen from farmland drainage
A preparation method of charcoal-based fertilizer is provided. Particularly, a special pig manure charcoal modified by amino grafting, a preparation method thereof, and its application in the reuse of nitrogen from farmland drainage are provided. The preparation method includes the following steps: 1) drying raw pig manure to a moisture content of 80%-85% and carrying out pickling, drying, and crushing successively to obtain a dried pig manure powder; 2) conducting liquid nitrogen pretreatment and high-temperature charcoalization to obtain an expanded pig manure charcoal; 3) performing carboxylation treatment to obtain a carboxylated pig manure charcoal; 4) amino grafting: adding an ammonia liquor to the carboxylated pig manure charcoal obtained in step 3), stirring for 20-24 h in an oil bath at 200-240° C.; washing and filtering; and drying and grinding to obtain the special pig manure charcoal modified by amino grafting.
Method for Degassing Water and Gas Balancing Filter
A method for degassing carbon dioxide from a stream of water is provided, whereby water is supplied at a predefined volumetric flow to a gas balancing filter, wherein the water in a first step is collected in a basin with a free upper surface and a depth and in a second step is allowed to flow out of the basin through at least one orifice provided beneath the free upper surface and in a third step the water flowing out of the orifice is allowed to free-fall a distance D through a controlled atmosphere and is then collected in a further basin provided beneath the basin. The invention comprises the further steps that the first, second and third steps are repeated two or more times with basins provided consecutively below each other. A gas balancing filter is also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SUBTERRANEAN BIOLOGICAL REACTORS
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a system and method using a subterranean biological reactor. Embodiments may include a pre-reactor storage unit configured to receive a feedstock including a slurry of biologically derived material and at least one pump configured to pump the effluent from the pre-reactor storage unit. The system may include at least one wellbore containing a subterranean biological reactor configured to receive the effluent from the pre-reactor storage unit. At least a portion of the subterranean biological reactor may be configured to perform anaerobic digestion upon the effluent to generate a biogas.
NITRIFICATION INHIBITORS
Nitrification inhibitors and uses of same to prevent nitrate leaching or nitrous oxide emissions as well as increase pasture or crop production. The nitrification inhibitors and formulations including same may be used for direct or indirect application to soil or pasture.
System and Method for Monitoring and Adding Disinfectant in Animal Drinking Water Using Oxidation-Reducing Potential
A system and method for monitoring disinfectant levels in non-human animal drinking water using ORP and optionally pH measurements and adding disinfectant or pH adjusting agents as needed. Sensors obtain measurements of the water upstream of a point of consumption and a controller compares measurements to predetermined thresholds, ranges, or previous measurements to determine if the disinfectant and optionally pH levels are within a desired range or above or below a desired minimum or a desired maximum value. A disinfectant dosing system preferably automatically adds disinfectant to the supply line based on the measurement comparison. A flow switch preferably keeps the system from activating disinfectant addition when water in the supply line is static (non-flowing). An alert is preferably triggered when a measurement indicates the disinfectant level is too low or too high or when a volume of disinfectant in the dosing system is below a predetermined volume threshold.
