WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A system for treating wastewater comprising a coagulation-flocculation assembly having a raw wastewater inlet and a coagulated-flocculated wastewater outlet; and a slurry separator comprising an intake area configured for receiving wastewater slurry from the coagulated-flocculated wastewater outlet, a liquid outlet, a sludge outlet, and a filtration module configured to facilitate percolating of liquid therethrough and forming of a filter cake thereon. The slurry separator being configured to receive slurry at the intake area, separate the slurry to liquid and sludge by the filtration module, remove the liquid via the liquid outlet, and convey the sludge from the intake area to the sludge outlet. The system further comprises a level maintaining arrangement configured to maintain at least a minimal level of the filter cake.
Liquid dispenser having peltier
A liquid dispenser may include a container having an upper opening, a pump provided in the container, a pipe through which liquid discharged from the pump is transferred, a top plate having an upper surface over which liquid flows, a filter assembly provided below the top plate, a base provided below the container, and a thermoelectric element provided in the base to cool the liquid in the container.
Intelligent oxygen control in sea cages
The invention relates to a method for controlling a concentration of dissolved oxygen in a volume (V) of water (W), wherein a device (1) for dissolving oxygen in water (W) is submerged in said volume (V) of water, wherein oxygen is injected by the device (1) with an adjustable flow rate into a main water stream (W′) sucked into a housing (100) of the device (1), and wherein the oxygen enriched main water stream (W′) is discharged by the device (1) out of the housing (100) of the device (1) into said volume (V) of water (W), and wherein a current concentration of oxygen dissolved in the sucked main water stream (W′) is measured with an oxygen probe (6) that is integrated into the housing (100) of the device (1), wherein said current concentration of dissolved oxygen is transmitted in a wireless fashion to a hand-held device (9) of an operator, and wherein the flow rate of the injected oxygen is controlled such that the measured current concentration of dissolved oxygen approaches a pre-defined reference value.
PROTEIN SKIMMER NECK INSERT
An insert designed for use with a protein skimmer is disclosed. The insert includes one or more tubes that define an opening with a diameter. This diameter is designed to be smaller than the protein skimmer neck's diameter. The one or more tubes are insertable and retained by the protein skimmer neck to adjust the effective diameter of the protein skimmer neck's opening.
Sand Filter LED Status Light
A system for treating water for use in aquatics or recreational facilities is disclosed. The system includes a media filter vessel, a pressure sensor, and a monochromatic light source. A method of treating water for use in aquatics or recreational facilities is also disclosed. The method includes fluidly connecting a media filter vessel to a source of water for use in aquatics or recreational facilities, illuminating a media inside the media filter vessel, observing a monochromatic light source display a first indicator and observing a monochromatic light source display a second indicator. A method of retrofitting a media filter vessel is also disclosed. The method includes installing a pressure sensor on the media filter vessel, installing a monochromatic light source and operably connecting the monochromatic light source to a manual control and to the pressure sensor.
WATER PURIFYING MATERIAL HAVING IRON AS MAIN COMPONENT, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a purifying material capable of highly efficiently removing contaminant components from wastewater. A water purifying material having a composition of 30 to 40% total iron, 1 to 5% titanium, 0.1 to 1% magnesium, and 0.1 to 0.8% silica (silicon), and a method for manufacturing the water purifying material including: adding caustic soda to a solution containing 200 to 100 mg/L of bivalent iron, 20 to 100 mg/L of titanium ions, 5 to 50 mg/L of magnesium, and 3 to 30 mg/L of silica under conditions of 30 to 50° C. and pH 6.8 to 7.2 to carry out neutralization and reaction; separating and collecting an obtained solid at 100° C. or less; and drying the collected solid.
Systems and methods of intensive recirculating aquaculture
Systems and methods for intensive recirculating aquaculture are provided herein. An example system includes water sourced from a first segment of a saline aquifer, a recirculating aquaculture system receiving the sourced water and producing discharge water, and a water discharge point located within a second segment of the saline aquifer disposed below the first segment of the saline aquifer.
Method for improving quality of aquaculture pond water using a nutrient germinant composition and spore incubation method
A method for improving the quality of pond water used in aquaculture applications by adding to the pond water active bacteria that are preferably germinated from spores on site using a nutrient-germinant composition and an incubation method for increased spore germination efficiency, in combination with a nitrification enhancement agent such as calcium carbonate or calcified seaweed, and an optional reaction surface area modifier such as calcified seaweed or plastic or metal particles or fragments. The nutrient-germinant composition comprises L-amino acids, D-glucose and/or D-fructose, a phosphate buffer, an industrial preservative, and may include bacteria spores (preferably of one or more Bacillus species) or they may be separately combined for germination. The incubation method comprises heating a nutrient germinant composition and bacteria spores, to a temperature range of 35° C. to 60° C. for around 2 to 60 minutes to produce an incubated bacteria solution that is discharged to the aquaculture application.
Device for producing biogas with high methane content by utilizing livestock and poultry feces
The invention discloses a device for producing biogas with high methane content by utilizing livestock and poultry feces, wherein the interior of a tank body of a biogas fermentation tank is divided by a baffle, so as to form a main reaction chamber and an auxiliary reaction chamber which are communicated in upper portions, so that a reactant flows into the auxiliary reaction chamber only after entering the main reaction chamber via a relatively low feeding hole and then reaching a high position of a liquid level, and extension of fermentation time is realized, meanwhile, scales formed at the top of fermentation broth flow into the auxiliary reaction chamber along with liquid, so that the interior of the main reaction chamber keeps a liquid state all the time, and sealing and reduction of quantity of anaerobic bacteria are avoided.
