Method for obtaining distillate from non-potable water as well as a device for obtaining distillate from non-potable water
The present disclosure relates to a method and device for obtaining distillate from non-potable water. The method comprises the steps of utilizing solar power from a solar power system to produce electricity and steam, utilizing the electricity and the steam in a water treatment device to convert the non-potable water into distillate and concentrate, transporting at least a part of the distillate to consumers for use. The method and device provide multiple effect distillation (MED) combined with vapour compression (VC) being able to work 24 hours a day only on solar energy.
Hybrid water filtering cleaning and quality monitoring device
A hybrid water filtering cleaning and quality monitoring device integrates multiple elements into one main system, including oil filtering, bacterial management, trash collection and water quality monitoring.
SYSTEM USING HEAT ENERGY TO PRODUCE POWER AND PURE WATER
A system may be configured to use heat energy to produce power and potable water. The system may include an organic rankine cycle (ORC) subsystem configured to receive heat energy from one or more sources and convert that heat energy into usable power. The system may also include an air gap membrane distillation (AGMD) subsystem configured to receive heat energy from the ORC subsystem and use the heat energy to convert impure water into potable water.
Personal Advanced Oxidation Water Treatment System
A portable, personal advanced-oxidation water treatment system based on ozone and a catalyst such as titanium dioxide that can cycle and purify water to make it potable by removing organic contaminants. The unit can be used for long periods of time without having to replenish the active portions. The unit can be carried in a backpack or in a vehicle. Fresh water is typically loaded into the unit, and the unit is cycled until the water is pure enough to drink. A battery is used to produce ozone and to cycle the water through a reaction vessel and can optionally be charged with a small solar panel The unit can also be powered directly from a vehicle.
RENEWABLE ENERGY-DRIVEN CARBON CYCLE ECONOMIC AND ECOLOGICAL OPERATING SYSTEMS
An integrated system for exploiting renewable energy sources based upon carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere is provided, the system comprising: a solar energy collector; apparatus for capturing CO.sub.2 from the atmosphere; a wind power driven electrical generator; water power driven electrical generator; electric power distribution control means from the renewable energy sources; energy storage systems; water desalinating means and water electrolysis means powered by the renewably generated electricity; hydrocarbon fuel preparation means utilizing the hydrogen and the carbon dioxide generated by this system; and a body of saline water adjacent the land on which the integrated system is built.
Water Reuse System
A water reuse system is disclosed. The system can be directed to space or terrestrial applications. The system combines electro-oxidation, granulated activated carbon, and reverse osmosis techniques in a manner that requires lower power and less use of chemicals for water purification than existing space recycle/reuse systems
System and method to remove micro plastic material from water environments
Some implementations can include method and system to collect and remove micro plastics from a water environment or ecosystem.
Self-sustaining water reclamation biotreatment system
A process approach allows economical self-sustained operation of single vessel biotreatment systems for municipal wastewater treatment. The daytime solar powered treatment process is changed during darkness periods to operate the biotreatment system without electric grid powering.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COLLECTING MARINE DEBRIS
An apparatus for collecting floating marine debris comprises a frame, a debris collection container in communication with a rear opening of the frame, a pair of helicoidal screws mounted to the frame in a symmetrical V-arrangement that tapers inwardly from a front opening of the frame to the rear opening, and at least one prime mover rotationally coupled to the pair of helicoidal screws. The prime mover is operable to rotate the helicoidal screws in opposite directions at the same angular velocity in water to move the apparatus forward through the water, such that floating marine debris enters the apparatus through the front opening, passes through the rear opening and is collected in the debris collection container.
IMPROVEMENTS TO MULTIFUNCTION SOLAR UTILITY PANELS
A multi-function solar panel, the panel being of the tilted tray type which is divided into three chambers, one chamber being used for electricity generation, and cooling of the PV panel and partial preheating of the feed water to a still, one for processing the feed water to produce potable water and the other for water storage and other ancillary devices used in the production process and PAYG functionality of the multi-function solar panel.
